Official Glastonbury Thread: 2007

It's absolutely fine.

Was quite windy earlier.....made putting up tents hard work!

Took a few pics. This is a couple of shots from our camp

Just had a shower and put some clean clothes on. Tucking into a bowl of cereal as we speak.. Feel great suprisingly. :p

The Who were blindingly awesome and I'll post some more when I'm fully back to normal.

Well that was fun.....NOT!

We got around to see the bands we wanted to see and had plenty of fun but the mud again (i went in 2005) ruined the whole weekend

I absolutely hate the stuff, doubt i'll be going next year

Meh. It did get very very tiresome, but the quality of some of the bands more than made up for it imo. Oh, and the frozen yogurt. ;)

Did anyone here manage to see The Killers live?

I watched it on TV and have to say it was amazing, but im sure it was a million times better live.

Apparently there were huge sound problems with the killers, resulting in loads of people shouting "turn it up", so I guess you got a better experience watching on tv than actually being there!

Yeah the killers were amazing but as mentioned there were sound problems & lots of unhappy punters.

I watched Amy winhouse (rubbish), Bloc Party, The Fratellis (great), Damien Rice (acoustic) fantastic, Dirty Pretty Things, Lily Allen (Not a huge fan usually) but she was great, Paolo Nutini (he looked hammered :p ), a bit of Weller (boring), The Killers (bar the sound issues), The Waterboys, Marley Brothers (LOVED it, the sun came out & the crowd sang their hearts out! :D ), James Morrison (was ok), Shirley Bassey was great :D , Manics were ok, the caught bits of Just Jack (good), Jamie T (disappointing), Pedulum, Klashnekoff & finally Chemical Brothers who were good.

Buy this time i was wet, cold, muddy & aching all over.

I also said that i might not go next time as it just rained for most of the weekend...very depressing. If I do go next time & it rains...i'll just drive home every night :)

Another downer was that you couldnt buy pear cider in 2L bottles...pesky pints & pesky sticky mud in front of the stand!!!!!!

Also my mobile battery died halfway thro the first day so only a handful of pics :(

You could on Wednesday and Thursday. :D :D

We had an awesome time, yes it was muddy but it was fairly warm and the rain wasn't a problem as long as you had your kagoul and wellies on! Mud made everything a bit more interesting imho.

We were camped up by Gate D, near the dance village which was a quality spot and because we were quite far in our camp was mud free.

Can't be bothered to list who i saw right now as i'm all achy and tired but my highlights would be Bjork, Hybrid, Stanton Warriors, Bloc Party and Chemical Brothers!

Gonna goto Tesco's today to get my photo's done. Managed to get through 2 disposable cameras which are a bit soggy right now but should hopefully come out okay. :)

Had a great time. Obviously it would have been better sans rain, being able to just sit on the grass and chill with a beer etc; but all the other good stuff made up for it. Didn't see that much music, just spent lots of time in the greenfields, id spiral, jazz lounge, munching some quality falafels .

Shame we didnt manage to meet up Skoot. My phone battery was struggling by the saturday so i only had my phone on intermitently.

The train was a bit of a nightmare getting there and back, took ages to get from the station to the site. But then some mates who were in the car got up at 6am and spent 10 hours in the car park :o

All in all though, another great glastonbury!

Bring on the sun next year :D

I saw a few people that I thought might be you, but I didn't want to risk asking. :p

Lol. I'll get some pictures up in a bit so you can figure out if it was me or not. I was generally in my Tesco's Kagoul and wellies. Surely that made me stand out!?

:p

My phone also died during Saturday mate. Luckily i had a spare phone, but your number was saved on the phone memory & not the sim....typical huh.

I took a few crap pics:
