Official Glastonbury Thread: 2007

I'm not going to worry about wellies until next Thursday :p

FINALLY received my despatch confirmation at 01:30 this morning! Says delivery in 2-3 days....so that's potentially Tuesday if you go by working days? I'll be at work, so i'll then need to arrange re-delivery! I'm supposed to be leaving to put tents up wednesday AM. Absolute bloody shambles

There was this guy from Glasto on the local news last night, saying that everyone will have their tickets by Friday.

things havent gone great with the tickets thats for sure.

Im setting off to stay in London tomorrow and it looks doubtful i`ll get my tickets before I go.. meaning hopefully somebody can be in when they come then post them on to me down there!

extra hassle I really dont need

Received my dispatch email too :) No mention of my car parking ticket though, did anyone elses email mention one?

There's no limit on tent size, and arriving on the wednesday, you won't have any problems finding space to put it up.

Pennards Hill here we come :D

Isn't that the area that flooded in 2005? :p

We're the other end, Hitchin's Hill....much safer :D

Missed the delivery of ours this morning, so i'm nipping down to the depot in a couple of hours to get 'em.

:D

Who's delivering them? The despatch confirmation says Special Delivery, which makes you think Royal Snail. But on the news it said tickets would be sent by courier?

Only the bottom part flooded, a bit of thoughtful tent erecting *giggle* and it'll be fine. Great views of the site, nice and close to the greenfields/stone circle, easy to get to the dance village, other stage etc. It might have a different vibe this year though with there being this new "park" area in the middle of it, we'll see.

Royal Mail. Just been to pick them up from the depot. :D

Weeeeeee.

Yeah, nice one spunj, however, it seems like we haven't got the two carpark tickets/passes that we ordered.... anyone know if they arrive separately?

Just rang them, confirmed my name and address etc. and the guy on the phone says "Okay, we'll 'resend' those 2 car parking tickets for you tomorrow morning".

So basically, i think they forgot to send them in the first place!

:)

Ok, so next time, we just order one and tell them they forgot to send it, giving us two :p Save us a tenner won't it? :D

That is, unless they do actually forget I suppose.

You will get yours on Friday, apparently the remaining tickets are sent out RM special so ignore the 2-3 as stated in the despatch email.

A little late, not exactly a shambles.

A little late?!! I think they were pushing it BIG time!

All of the unnecessary worry did not really have to happen imo

BTW, my tickets arrived yesterday. Our postlady has the habit of signing for things herself & then either posts it through the letterbox if it fits, or leaves it ourside if it doesn't!! I bought a watch off of ebay once (£175), only to find it under our garden table (packaged in a cardboard box) and it was raining!

Mad woman! :p

Ooooooo, forcast is looking like a mainly wet Glasto! :p

Lets hope it isn't like the last one:

Saturday was drier though, met a few minor celebs:

That last one must be from '04, the dance village is different and it's far too dry :D. Did anyone visit ID Spiral in '05, in the dance village? I love that place.

Every forecast looks like it's going to be a wet one, although this is slightly encouraging.

Gawd, that's made me feel even more nervy. :p

Oi :D

Reading that Guardian page, this made me chuckle..

Thanks to its frequently muddy conditions, reminiscent of a first world war battlefield, revellers at the Glastonbury festival have long considered the event as much a war as a celebration, a four-day skirmish against the forces of nature and the ever-present mud.
:p

Hmm?

I remember a couple of years back, seeing all the mud and what not thinking how unlucky everyone there was.. Never thought I'd be going mind. :o

Ah well, it'll be a goodun. :D

I think everyone should post a picture of themselves up so we can spot eachother. :D
