***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I would prefer it on Steam :( How long do you think realistically it would take tp download on 4MB internet connection lol ?

I gave in and just bought it (even though I vowed not too) My Steam account is set for unlimited (that's the claim) download as I'm on what's meant to be Virgin's superfast broadband but in real life that is 6.5 mb/s max via Steam and that takes around 3 hours.

So if a 59 gb folder requires 3 hours at 6.5 mb/s you only need to do 3 mb's to be done well before it unlocks in 10 hours time.

If you don't have a 3d vision capable monitor then it can cost quite a bit in the end, but I'd say it's worth it at the moment. Just have a look through the 3d capable games list and see how many of those you play or plan to play.
If there is a fair amount, and they're rated good and above then yes, most definitely will be worth it. You also can play 3d movies on it too if you don't have a 3d telly.

Experience is very very nice though :) But if you can, try it out somewhere first just so you know how good it is

I'm wondering if my steam name being changed a few months ago will affect this now, in Social club it's still linked to the old "name" although the account itself never changed. Have logged a support ticket with them asking as nowhere seems to mention it.

you can't unlink steam accounts from social club, so I'm fairly confident it'll be fine but you never know :)

Why is it that youtube video's relating to GTA V seems to be mainly "how to get 1000000 dollars" or some other cheap glitch or cheat?.

I used to use all the cheat codes when I played GTA as a teenager fair enough, now in my mid twenties I value the time I spend on games much more, opting for a 'purer' experience. PC MASTER RACE?

I think because Ive played a lot of mmo's in the past 5-10 years I am expecting GTA to be similar? How much has it evolved from the GTA3/Vice city days? Is there a 'endgame' as such?

No way I'd play this on anything other than SSD, at 65Gb for the install it'd have to be one very quick HDD not to have quite a hit on load times.
