***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I have been getting into the game after a loong break but so fare it hasnt been that fun. Reason being people are jerks and leavers are many. So i was wondering if anyone might want to team up? If so and you dont mind playing with a 31 old dad, meaning i cant sit around and play all day, then hit me up on Steam, name is Phixsator there as well. I live in the GMT+1 zone btw. Cheers
 
Yeah im on quite a bit atm ill add you tomorrow if i remember, im Bluddie online, if ya wanna run some heists or do some freemode stuff im up for that, the only thing i cba with are random jobs like races, deathmatch etc.

btw, wtf is that sig? :D
 
Looks like a great update. I wish I'd bought this during the Steam sale, but held off because of the modders than ruin online play :(. Playing it on the X360 isn't as fun as it used to be either.
 
I had a crash to desktop while playing earlier, and now when I launch the game I get "Grand Theft Auto V launcher has stopped working." I verified the game cache but its still happening, anyone know why this is?

If this is a steam version, delete the GTAVlauncher.exe as well as the GTA5.exe and then verify game cache.

Also could be the Nvidia drivers. if that does not work, uninstall the drivers and run DDU.

There are also many other things it could be but that is a start
 
Such a sad situation today with GTA, someone killing everyone in a buzzard, i shot him out the sky in a hydra just to get him down because he seemed extremely (questionably) good in the bird, i parachuted out as he hit my hydra with a seeking missile. I was on top of a mountain quite far away and snipped him a few times. Needless to say hackusations soon started to flood in from him. I found this funny as quite complimentary about my shooting ability in gta. Needless to say it soon went south because i caught up close to him and he decided he would put his mods on that i didn't know he had and became indestructible. How pathetic to accuse someone of hacking when you are doing it yourself. I will upload a video of this event later on.

Thanks for the help. Turns out it was Fraps so just disabled it now :)

They do it to deflect from there own cheating however the anti cheap is doing quite a good job now.

Yeah from what i have seen their are 95% less cheaters now for sure and none of the hyper extreme turning your car into a UFO and sending you to the middle of nowhere with a stripper tied to your head. ( literally had that done to me once )

Nice that i can play the game again for the most part in peace :). Video is rendering now :) Are we allowed to name and shame?
 
Got a weird issue with this now, seems to be stuck at about 55fps

I booted it up, ran about for a bit, then quit and re launched straight away, after turning off my FreeSync, as it doesn't seem to work in it for some reason, still tears, so was going to enable v-sync once the game had reloaded, but after id fired it back up, while it was loading (the music playing part after the stars come on and the RS logo), the Social Club came down from the top, asking me to sign in again (but it auto signed me in on launch as normal), so i just quit, as thought it had just gone boobies up, as was already in.

Anyway, i relaunched, where it it loaded up fine this time, with me signed in as normal, but every time i start the story mode, it now takes longer to load, and my frames seem to be locked at 55, and wont go any higher, even when i look straight up into the sky, and thats on a single card, and in Xfire, where as before, i was getting way higher than that, up to, and over 100.

Anyone know wtf has happened ? :confused:


Ive even tried switching my PC off and back on, but its still the same, locked at 55.
 
God i used to get that all the time, it hasnt happened in so long though i cant remember what i used to do to resolve it.

Ill try and remember what it was, ya have disabled ULPS and dont have rivatuner running a frame cap? and check gta profile in the drivers, make sure theres no frame cap.

GTA 5 Redux is perhaps the most ambitious GTA mod yet - and it's out on 26th August.

On the graphics side, GTA 5 Redux rewrites the game's weather system, adds brand new, real-life company textures for billboards, and increases the number of and quality of effects.

But there's more to Redux than a visual upgrade. GTA 5's police system has been reworked, weapons have changed and the game population overhauled.

I did have the target control in the drivers set to a 100 frame cap, but when i booted the game up with my FreeSync off, i discovered it didn't work, as i was getting 160+.

I do have Rivatuner on to see my frames etc..., but ive got the cap switched off (set to 0), ULPS is off as well, it just ****** up, when i relaunched it again, and the Social Club came down wanting me to sign in again, even though when id launched it, it signed me in already.

Ive even tried ALT+Tab to desktop and back, but no change, goes straight back to 55, even tried changing some of the gfx settings while playing, to see if that kicks the cap off when its made the change, but still a no go :confused:

EDIT: Just tried FreeSync off as well now, so thats no FreeSync, no v-sync, no frame caps, and still 55fps :(

It plays fine at 55fps, its just bugging me to death, that its stuck at that, when i should be getting a lot more, like i was before it ****** up :p :(

Not played for a month or so and expected to auto update when I joined online over the weekend, it didn't update and I'm getting kicked for not having the current version.

I've never had to manually update previously, what am I doing wrong (if anything)?

Help appreciated.
