***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I have been thinking today about the future of me playing this game, and tbh, I don't think I will be much longer.

I have put well over 1500 hours into it since launch and grinded every single game mode online and completed SP 3 times so I think Im done. Not even enjoying the new CEO mode, or just driving about anymore as much as I used to. :( Sad times as I loved this game.

So, that leaves the question....who should take over as leader of this crew? :)
 
Yep same here Gamble.

Online has lost it appeal and the new DLC seemed a good idea at the beginning however it is a massive repetitive grind. Now heisted and mission'ed out and that leaves free roam events but they can be intensely toxic or just impossible with jet griefers...

So think I will be taking a break as well....
 
Interesting to come in at this point of the discussion. I decided to start a new SP game (not bothered about MP) after finishing my first playthrough in September last year (really that long?). However I find myself struggling to get back into it. Yes the visuals are drop dead gorgeous especially with a better GFX card than last time, but the gameplay... after several months revolving around Deus Ex HR, Fallout 4 and a few others it just seems to be lacking something. Can't quite put my finger on it, maybe it's the slow clunky movement if not sprinting, the story clichés grate more the second time around. Maybe the whole GTA thing is just getting stale, compared to the gameplay approach of other titles. A couple of replies above referred to "grind" and I think that is true to some extent, seems like you're doing a lot of work to not get very far (at times). Maybe I'm just getting old and, when thoughts turn to progressing my Round The world Tour in Flight Sim rather than GTA, perhaps I am!
 
Has something broken with 'cover' in online? It works fine in SP but in MP i just pop up again behind a car or object with a gun. I cannot take cover AT ALL! It's driving me nuts lol and makes the game unplayable.

Yeah just take a break when you get bored, no point playing if ya not enjoying it, plenty more games out there. Besides you guys do tend to grind a bit rather than just mucking around, i think grinding also grinds the fun out of some games.

Talking about jet griefers, a guy tried shooting my jet down earlier, so i came back around and did one of them fancy backward spinning kill things i do, it seemed to really annoy him so him and his crew all came after me with jets in the city. After i had shot them down they waited for me to land and start doing another challenge then spawn killed me for about an hour in hydras. I was watching a film finding it all quite amusing but they just seemed to keep getting more angry.

I think that psychiatrist whos talking to Michael at the start of SP mode should pop up once their radar cursor turns red and try and calm them down a bit :)
 
Did some stuff with the new DLC last night, im not happy you can't share sale money with associates.

Loads of jets/buzzards flying around at the moment. I tend to just fly around minding my own business but seemingly nobody likes a Hydra so I'm constantly hearing the missile lock and evading errant rockets.

I had a weird experience the other day, couple of CEO's scattered around the map, one of the organisations started picking up crates so I blew up the ones they hadn't got. Within 30 seconds I had various other organisations after me. One managed to blow my jet up due to the bug where you don't hear any kind of missile lock, and then I got spawn killed another 6-7 times with the chat from everyone telling me not to blow up crates :confused:

I waited a bit until the CEO who shot me down had to do a cargo drop, then exacted my revenge by blowing up his cargobob.

It felt like a douchey move, but being spawn killed wasn't fun :o
 
Ah maybe thats why everyone is after me all the time. I logged in and i got a message flash on my screen saying "Destroy the Crates" so i did as i was told, then suddenly everyone got real angry and started chasing me around. Im guessing they were the crates of the the guys who decided to spawn kill me for an hour. Maybe i lost him a lot of money or summat.

Cheers but I will decline the Crew Job if you don't mind, I am not active in OCUK crew and have not been for a few months, only returning for the DLC. Also I am taking a break from GTA as I said earlier. I suggest Blud

As you you jockeys..

Jets are now the devil as far as CEO's are concerned. The hatred (see some of the forum posts) is because the time it takes to get a full wearhouse to then have your 2.4 million return destroyed by a single missile from a jet is making the community very unhappy. Whilst it is totally how the game is supposed to be played. If you are not a CEO or an Associate and you seek and destroy cargo drops (they are visible to all) then you will be viewed as a griefer disrupting and destroying the game of others. It will also have cost the CEO 650k + and they get ****ed. I am surprised you have not been vote kicked yet. That is a very real thing atm by Friends n crews in lobbies. More on forums about that as well.
 
If ya meant me no ta :) im too lazy to invite people and stuff so everyone would just leave.

btw i just did 177.7mph on fastest speed event, finally beat my 176 record i set about a year ago :)
