yep can defo help with that, however I have no broadband atm so will be next week till I am back online.
Quite used to doing Criminal Mastermind now, helping other out.

I tried Redux for about half an hour with many different reshade settings and it was honestly awful, it looked like someone had poured petrol over my head and my eyeballs were burning up.
And yes I'm also unable to access the rockstar servers when launching the game, oddly it works fine if I turn my VPN on.

Its not an ISP level issue it effecting most of Europe and there have been reports from US East Coast of it as well.

I think the installation instructions say not to play online as it may lead to a ban.
Tried installing Redux myself, following the instructions carefully. It just crashes when entering story mode. Followed a couple of troubleshooting things, still didn't work. Bah. I'll delete it and play it normally and just watch other people use the mod.

Going to try his redux mod later today. I'm pretty hot on making my own reshade/sweetfx files, and I've just got a feeling this will be way too over cooked for my tastes.
Most people's sweetfx profiles are total ****e, always overblown highlights and crushed blacks. Hope to be pleasantly surprised though and the texture and weather changes plus the removal of the 'blur' might be good...
If I work out how to change the reshade files of this redux mod and tweak those, will I be stealing his work though? Ha

I downloaded a fresh install of GTA on steam and did everything by the book to install Redux. I logged in and started to play but kept crashing to desktop after a few seconds. Googled loads to find answer but just too much to try to get it to sort out. Uninstalled everything and I will retry again when I have time. What I saw of it it lookked very good.
Edit: Just realised I downloaded the patch too and totally forgot to install that. Apparnetly that patch fixes the crashing

Whne you ahve GTA installed and installing redux you make a mod folder in GTA dir and the GTA game files are COPIED to that folder so if you want to play online or remove the mods you just delete the mod folder. You do have to copy some .ddl files iirc inot main gta dir but just copy original and put thme some where safe. The game is launced via the redux launcher I think, that way it will read the mod folder. I am right in thinking this?
