***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

The game is launced via the redux launcher I think, that way it will read the mod folder. I am right in thinking this?

I'm trying this tonight, That may be the missing link for getting my Redux install working before I remove it all...unless I already deleted my massive mods folder. If I have not sure i can be bothered to redo it all.

Apparently the guy who made redux copied parts of other mods without asking their permission, it put most people off trying it after they found out especially since one of the guys work he copied had a very similar mod already out which you could use instead.

Got around to testing out the redux mod. First impressions: not impressed.

I've tested the "Redux original" and "Redux light" reshade options and as predicted, they are totally crushing blacks and losing details at night. Also the ENB anti aliasing function plain does not work, and if I edit the sweetfx file to apply SMAA it generates a compilation error, and doesn't work.

Daytime looked no better than my own reshade/ sweetfx profile (in fact looked much worse and slightly cartoony and overcooked), and I'm not particularly a fan of the new road textures either to be honest.

My own reshade sweetfx profile with the default GTA5 is far nicer, so don't know if I can be bothered with this to be honest.

Yup personally I think redux is awful looking as well, vanilla with a good sweetfx config is 100 times better looking. Everything just saturated and high contrast thus crushed blacks and therefore no detail in dark areas.
