I love redux but deleted it for certain reasons (not that it wasn't good) and now I'm using crystal reality mod,this is just the crystalreality mod with no other mods,i quite like it and think it still looks better than vanilla :)

may not be for some of you though lol

As long as ya can get enough MSAA or a high enough resolution i think vanilla still looks best, at lower res the sweetfx profiles did help sharpen things up a bit for me though.

Yep have to agree. As you know I hate jaggies and only run at 4xmsaa never been disappointed with the graphics.


Currently in exile, so going for SP 100% whilst I wait for my broadband to be switched on.... Plusnet suck monkey balls.
 
I don't really like the vanilla look of it lol it at least needs to have sweetfx and reshade imo I'm liking this crystal reality mod,it has a few different reshade options but havnt tried the others yet,the one in vid id the clear view option,i had to turn the brightness down in game settings though as otherwise was way to bright
 
Heres another very quick vid of the crystal reality mod but this time I used a different preset that comes with the mod and also put 2xmsa on,before I had no msa


ps if you click on the watch on youtube then quality is better,not sure why but it is,looks more jaggy on here

The LUT preset seems to be the best for me, also has a nice blend of motion blur to counteract the loss in fps. I think its a really well made mini transformation of the game. Its not all about the graphics but the little mechanics that have changed here and there.
 
im having a problem with social club on windows 10 now.

it downloads an initial 54.57mb after installation but then crashes immediately, even when ran as administrator.
 
OK, having tried all the presets that come with the package I can safely say Redux Ultra V3 is the most realistic looking imo. I've had over 800 hours of game play in V and it's never looked this good. Super impressed with all the extra little features that have been included as well.

I wonder what will happen to the mod when Steam automatically updates the game with the upcoming DLC

Ran the GTA V ingame benchmarks before and after installing Redux.

Before install, max settings 3440x1440 lowest:36 highest:42, after, lowest 28: highest 38.

You can btw either not install the reshade/enb part or remove it if you don't like it. You'll get pretty much vanilla GTAV visuals but with all the extras from the Redux mod.

So far I'm liking the mod but I think I will stick with not installing the reshade/enb settings, they just look too 'filtered' & OTT.
 
I wouldnt judge the FPS by that benchmark, its all over the place sometimes with the min fps, i normally just pick a few spots in single player where i know it really pushes the cards, a grassy hill, dusty area etc.

Are you gonna have another full run through on single player with the mod? Would be quite amusing seeing all the changes as your going through the single player missions.

Definitely. And guys you can install OpenIV plugins afterwards without a problem
