***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

And this is why Red Dead is doing a staggered release i.e. PC coming later :) I did the same :p

I would not be to sure on that.

IMO the Reason why it was delayed on PC was to keep it in step with new gen so they could develop GTAO. Multiple GTAO DLC updates 3 revenue streams from Shark cards.

No RDR2 PC launch, no RDR2 online parity and no shark card revenue...

Don't see it being launched for just story mode sales...

In other news, I don't know anybody who has bought the Tornado Rat Rod... :D

Congratulations. I've tried to install that twice, once following the text instructions and once following the YouTube video instructions and both attempts have resulted in GTA V crashing before I get to the main menu and needing a re-install. I've given up.

There's a gameconfig.xml that needs to be downloaded to get any large overhaul working. I can help you with it if you need.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, just recently fitted a new GPU but since than the graphics on GTA have taken a turn for the worse.
It's hard to describe but the sharpness and detail is replaced with fluffy softness... I've been playing about with the settings for ages and nothing appears to change.

Any ideas?

Game is set to absolute max graphics I can get and the GPU has the following settings.

AA - FXAA = off
AA - Gamma correction = On
AA - Mode = Application - controlled
AA - Settin = Application - controlled (greyed out)
AA - Transparency = off

I had an awful stuttering after redux until I realised I had two different refresh rates set. One in GTA and one in the control panel.

Amazingly since both were reset to 60hz its all good!

Right I forced AA in control panel and it has improved hints.. will update with a screen shot soon.. want your opinion if it looks right being at max settings on 1080p.

Checked refresh rates.. both set to 60mhz.

Regarding redux, what setting do you change to make the nights lighter? The dark is way too dark, I've tried messing with the enb config.ini but there's quite a bit missing in it. Enb config.ini files normally has a section labelled [environment] and in that would be ambientnightlight but it's not there.

I just use brightness or a different reshade.

Just got awarded my 250K, nice!
I've been getting into the Biker DLC recently, never did any CEO so thought I'd give it a go.

Hit me up if anyone wants to do some supply/sell missions my social club name is Chrissy.Jr

Rusko I've always found DSR 2.0 + FXAA forced via control panel is the nicest looking and most efficient

I'll give that a try, heres the thing.. visuals have improved due to a change in resolution.

My current monitor can only output 1920x1080... however in GTA options to improve the graphics a new option has popped up since new graphics card: 2715x1527.

If I change output on GTA to 1920x1080 it sends it back to being really poor graphics.... anyone else had this problem?

Check that Frame scaling is not set below 1x in the game's Advanced Graphics page. It's possible you're upscaling a lower render resolution to your screen's native resolution. Also disable DSR in the NVidia control panel if it's enabled to rule that out (if enabled).

Rather than using frame scaling. use X4 MSAA with TXAA on.

I have used it since launch on my 1080p monitor. No need to frame scale as it reduces jaggies to almost unseen and with grass set to Very high maintains 60fps.

You will not max out GTA, even at 1080p with grass and Post FX at Ultra.

have a look at this and have a play around...
