***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I preferred my existing sweetfx,/ENB combo over any of the bundled presets. I think i would have used the light preset as I found most of them too dark at night.

I'm pretty sure light versions are lighter on fps and not related to visibility at night.

Ultra V3 looks the most realistic but is too dark at night, I'm using Ultra V1 at the moment because you can still see at night with brightness turned up and it has more colour than V3.

Also I recommend if you're still wanting to go online copy your GTA folder in steam/common library and rename the one you want steam to see when you launch - **** it just do it anyway so you have a clean version to work with

its very easy mate, just follow the instructions and video on the redux page :D

:D no luck getting past loading screen yet! followed everything in the vid, will look into it

** followed the fix above and it works, cheers!

seems very contrastie though, may need to try a different reshade

I personally like the standard Redux original Reshade, it looks the best across all weather conditions and times of day.

An alternative would be NaturalVision Reshade but it's based on the VisualV mod so not sure if it would work correctly. I guess you could try just the NaturalVision Reshade files without installing VisualV.

I shall give that a whirl! Either way it looks stunning, the lighting etc especially at night is great, maybe a bit too dark on my preset atm.

Runs ok, maybe need to tweak some stuff, getting roughly 45fps average i would say, stayed at 60 in quieter areas. Running 1440p

Is the forgot your password working for other people? I've forgotten my email that I signed up with but know the username and have the reciept of the cd key but unable to retrieve it.

What is GTAs 'game download' called? (Not Steam or UPlay etc)

Anyone know how I can sort my ping out on this game? On my screen everything is fine but to others I am de-syncing and appearing 500m elsewhere if i'm driving a car etc, It makes playing with friends a nightmare as I can never stay close to them.

It is social club. So you will need your password and I am not sure if they will help you if you do not have access to the email your signed up with.

I am not sure how you can as there are many variables. One think I would look at is the people/server you are playing on. Whilst you may think you are lagging, it may be the others that are and you are the one who is OK.

What is your ping on speedtest?

I bought GTA V months ago but never played it until last night as my PC was 6 years old and wouldn't do it justice, I fired it up at 1440p GSYNC all settings maxed, and played an hour or so of single player.

It's amazing! I've only just unlocked Michael, so really only done the first few Franklin missions. I know I'm late to the party, and nobody will care what I think, but just thought I would join in and say it's fun! For the first time in years I'm actually looking forward to leaving work, getting stuff done and then sitting down to play it. Roll on 5pm!

Fantastic :) Its always great to gear people are still enjoying this game as it is beautifully designed and the gameplay is fantastic.

Before GTAV was released on PC I bounced about lots of different games and never really sunk lots of hours into them (with the exception of Skyrim release) but GTAV gave me 1500 hours of fun, and what fun it was!

Single player was so fantastic I did it three times, one for 100%, one to redo story, and one in FPS mode!

Multiplayer was the bulk of my time spent however but I was the same. Couldn't wait to get home and play, stayed up way too late on most occasions as well. Massive weekend sessions etc.

I don't play GTAV at the moment(and don't have it installed) but the new update is really tempting me to have a shot again.

I still love this game. I've just completed it for the 1st time on the PC having completed it on the Xbox 360 when it first came out. Ended up with $200m for each character after the assasination missions. On the Xbox, I'm sure I got a lot more?
Still enjoying playing it online but need to find out how to make money on my own. I'm down to my last million :(.

I am still playing after 18 months.

Best way to earn money online is via heists, specifically Pac standard. I grind it with online buddies for both RP and cash.

I would not suggest VIP or Biker roles as you have to be in a public session to complete them and that has it's risks solo, however at least with biker cash in's there is no risk of loosing all your product. Also set up costs are insanely expensive and ROI is quite long.

Then missions solo. You can grind those as well. I set myself different targets each time, be it loss of armour for the mission, using one weapon etc. It mixes up a bit.

Add me (in my sig) I can usually be found online either in session or on missions/heists.

if I install Redux will this have any implication online?

Just worried about VAC bans etc given that the game files would have been modified...

Who knows....

I would say be careful as nobody really knows what is on the banned list. If you want to try, first ban is 10 days and it is not a VAC ban it is a R* account online ban.

Personally, I have not seen anybody complaining about Redux causing an online ban.... yet

But that is just me....

Okay thanks.
