I got to mine at 6AM to see the download box greyed out and a "retry" button. I feared the worst!

I restarted the download and there was a 50 odd MB file, then a 350 something MB one and the DL was flying at 2.5 MB/s. By 6:15 I was booting the game up for the first time :) Phew.

If you are struggling with speeds a guy posted earlier that quitting the download and restarting the program fixes it for a while. I did it last night and went from 13 KB/s to 2.8MB/s. Might be worth a try.
 
It looks pretty good actually. Especially compared to the GTA IV Port *shudders*

Only issue is textures looks a bit naff and there's some jaggy lines from lack of Anti Aliasing, though this is probably my 770 using up all its 2GB of VRam. Might be time for a 970/980 already :rolleyes:

I closed Steam and then re-opened (closed the program properly) and it downloaded 100mb of it, but then stalled again - closing program didn't make a difference after that.

It was just on 0.00 bytes - I then put another game download on and it worked fine. strange

I'll try again when I get home from work.

Cool, cheers. Not got to that stage yet - waiting for my folks to pick up our little fella to take him for a day trip. Day off work for me - Couldn't have timed that better, eh? :D
 
Bin playing for about 6 hours now , one hard lock up although was certainly the game as ts3 was fine in background just wouldn't let me do anything but nothing since . . 5820k & 2 980s at 2560x1080p 4xmsaa and txaa , everything as high as it will go including advanced graphics , locked perfectly at 60 no drops whatsoever ... Rockstar has shown the rest of the industry what is expected from ports . I went straight into MP working fine from the off . ****ed it tied me to my steam email as I had to re jig my Xbox tag to my steam email so could character transfer . I won't touch an open world game now unless it performs like this .
 
Thinking of installing this on the Surface Pro for holidays, any one run it on low settings?
From reading some posts it seems well optimized for the PC, hoping to run it at low res with settings on low.

Its not enough...I had a right battle early this morning with mine. Ended up having to remove AC black flag, Payday 2 and LA NOIRE to do this preload decryption thing.

On a 980 but similar specs elsewhere, runs like a dream, can't see you having anything to worry about :D got everything maxed. Hitting 120FPS more often than I expected too although mostly internal only, over 60 outside and averages around 85/90.

I'm not running the newer GTA V optimised drivers yet.

So is this one of those rare gems where sub 60 doesnt actually look stuttery? Last Light is the last demanding game I could play below 60 and still have a smooth experience. Not sure why more games dont run like that.
 
I had a quick play around with the editor this morning but couldn't work out if there is away to capture something after it happened. For example if I done an amazing stunt can I go back and save the last 20 seconds of game play? Or would you have to hit record prior to doing the stunt?
