***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I've done it with Chippy as it is only 2 player.

I can't host any Heists as I've not hosted the 1st one. Get chippy to do the 2nd one, I'll jump in for it.

Followed the tutorial and it fails on launch for me. I don't seem to be the only one having issues.

Yeh I put it in but not sure how to remove it now as it's not that easy to figure our which files it has added

Is there a way to repair game files like in origin/stream?

Not sure, I always made back ups but with 60GB that could be a nightmare.

Already posted in the OP under "Patches" bud.

The stupid thing is I was supposed to be in the heli the time I parafailed. You lot told me to turn round and meet you on the runway in the plane (which was a close shave in it's own right), when I was supposed to be giving the plane cover in the heli!

We had no lives left due to you deciding using a rocket launcher on the floor was a good idea. I though out of a heli he has openly said he doesn't know how to fly and will probably die in or a long walk due to not having a heli, I'd rather a long walk.

Josh. Maybe it will be a good idea if in the OP you can edit in a performance suggestions section and list the "turn vsync off ingame and use adaptive vsync in nvidia drivers panel" as it looks like others are finding what i found after awhile. I keep mentioning it in the forum but it gets lost as pages go by so quick. Just a idea so i dont have to repeat it all the time. And obviously stick this one in the nvidia only section as it looks like amd users have trouble enabling vsync forced through drivers with this game.

Will do it this morning bud. Wasn't aware of any VSYNC issues though, must have been lost in the mass amounts of stuff people post in here now :D

Think I may SP it tonight, need to get some of the story done.

Heists killed me last night, they are fun, but just take forever. I lose interest due to my short attention span so chocolate frogs.

Was forced into a Rally type online race mode last night, what a joke that was!

Particularly given I'd muted in-game voice chat to avoid the unnecessary background noise, only to not be able to hear my co-driver's driving directions. I didn't get any directional arrows as alternative guidance either!

Yeah I'm not a fan of them either, did one, ended horribly. We were in the same TS server chatting away until he decides to not follow my direction but to follow the bike in front, who at the time was sailing off the edge of a very large cliff.

Have checked R* for the recent dll/patch notes and they haven't released anything, think I am too used to Dice/EA who at least told you before downloading what you were downloading!

Unofficial TS server down Josh?

Nope just tested it, seems fine my end bud

Not sure what this new patch has done, but I have disabled in game vsnc and have enabled adaptive in the Nvidia Control Panel, have dropped Grass to High and running MSAAx2 no TXAA/FXAA and I'm hitting around 50fps in the desert where I find the frames are the worst.

Slight improvement, if I have grass/post/shadows on Very High in the same spot I get around 37fps.

Still get random GPU Usage drops. Haven't noticed in game any differences but the graph goes bonkers.

iFruit for Andoid is working, just had great fun making my custom numberplate for online!

I will be on SP tonight, that 16 player vehicle TDM ruined me last night, I thought the screen shake in BF4 was bad.

I have just played the first 5 odd minutes of the game and it hasn't wowed as GTA4 did. Things like shooting wheels just ping off like they are made of concrete instead of the tires popping then coming off then leaving rims which scrape on the floor.

I really hope this general level of detail has not been taken away from the whole game

It hasn't there is even a mission about shooting out tyres. And they go down to rims, and the car becomes a rolling fridge!

I'm getting it in game, not just the intro. On a scale of 1-10 probably a 6 for how bad it is. Can't really play without it irritating me. I've turned it off in the Nvidia settings now.

I have the refresh rate set to 59hz in game (no option for 60) I'm using a Dell U2711 which is 60hz.

I can live with just loading up the game and switching to half and back to on in order to get it working each time, but if there is a fix it would be helpful.

Ash did you set it to adaptive Vsync or just Vsync?

Read that Nvidia performance report, it recommends for 1080p to turn off MSAA and to use TXAA along with enabled DSR in the Nvidia Control Panel. Think I may have a play with that later, see what it's all about as I haven't used DSR before. Doing this method apparently negates the need for MSAA.

Not sure what the performance gains/loses are yet until I try it.
