You should be hitting about 28k GPU score with them clocks, you could have driver issues. Run the heaven benchmark and post screens of the results. Make sure you have no AA or AF on in the CP.

Just go by the GPU score, gives a much more accurate picture of GPU performance than the overall score.

When overclocking you should do a custom fan profile to keep temps down, auto fan is very lax.
The temps you're getting with auto fan are probably limiting your overclock, VRM's getting too hot ect.

Asus do nice packaging as it should be for an expensive GFX card, my EVGA came packaged in an egg carton type box...
Try the EVGA OC scanner, run it full screen at your native res, see if it reports any artifacts at you OC.

at £311 I would see if they deal you the goods, crazy price for the fresh 580. You could easily make £60 profit if you decide to sell a card.
Yeah it's not 10 FPS faster in crysis. A 480 with the same clocks as a 580 is only marginally slower.

GTX 580 stock is just about nonexistent, never seen it this bad.

100% looks like it was rushed to beat AMD to the punch, thing is if they are desperate to get them out this quick maybe they know the new AMD cards are going to kurb stomp the 580/570.
Fact is there is some stock out there from the first batch shipped but not much, looking around at the popular retailers stock has all but dried up. IMO Nvidia have failed big time with the launch of the 580, it could just be unmanufacturable in any high quantity.
