At last, good luminance once again!

Cherry picking a portion of a quote making it out of context, what is this, speaker's corner?!
He was referring to the base game obviously for those reading this without prior knowledge of the interview, the PC port has been redone from start to finish to cater to ultrawide output up to 32:9![]()
Only played for a bit, back to balanced SDR now
There are no cutscenes that go to a forced 16:9, every single cutscene was re-done for up to 32:9, all you need to do is turn off the cinematic letterbox option in settings. Nixxes said it's on by default as an artistic decision but go ahead and turn it off and enjoy cutscenes in ultrawide.
Good before painting a wall thoughSkimming is never a good idea, not in skimmed milk, and not when reading!
Too bad the game's worse than FW, we could at least discuss something different but all that's left is reading five pages about SSRs![]()
We can thank Nexus for that. Good job he uninstalled it now though
Oh and so far I am enjoying it, but admittedly only played a few hours yet if which half of it was messing about![]()
I tried out motion controls by putting the controller into Switch pro mode and it works quite well and just like on Switch/Emulated Switch games like Zelda TotK, motion is only usable when aiming and you lose analogue triggers too as they become digital on/off triggers only as per official Switch Pro controller. Precision aiming is easier with motion than with just the right stick though for sure.

A novelty feature before going back to mouse and keyboard![]()
How do you know!
Plays great on my RX7800 at 1440p no upscaling on. Between 70 and 90fps.Anyone got this yet? wondering how it performs on a 6800xt before buyign it? playing in 4k.
I think DF summed this up very well in one of their videos where raster can look outstanding but it's when you move about and change angles that same scene can go from looking great to seeing all the flaws and losing it's magic, like almost seeing the glue and all the strings that holds something together and to the point it then looks like a last gen game. Hfw is the perfect example of this especially with water, sometimes it can look incredible but a lot of the time it honestly looks ps 3/4 levels and no better than the last game. GI is a big issue too, it just doesn't look/feel right and I'm finding that the further I get in the game, the downsides of raster are standing out even more, almost like the Devs focussed on the opening part the most and less so as the game gets further on, probably to meet deadlines...
In terms of a jungle/open world, avatar has really set the bar very high now, not perfect by any means but it's a true next gen title when compared to hfw imo.
