I'm not usually a bit of of ovals, but I enjoyed that one. I was fairly sure that Rasmussen was going to end up in the wall and although he did hit the wall the commentators didn't seem to notice.

That one last night sent me off to sleep very quickly! Watched the 'highlights' on YouTube this morning and see I didn't miss anything bar the inevitable winning!

Kirkwood is going to need to hope Palou has a few shockers on the ovals otherwise it's another stroll to the title.

It probably doesn't help that they've had largely the same cars now since 2018 with new ones not due until 2028, the move to introduce a hybrid element in 2024 didn't seem to make much difference.

Indeed, many teams, CGR especislly have the cars so dialled in there's little progress or changes to be made. I'd have really liked to see even a minor change in suspension or aero in some way, at least to partially reset the field. As it stands it's going to be Palou again this year and unless he leaves (and I can't see why he would given he gets 6 months off a year and is paid handsomely) it'll likely be Palou again in '27.
