**** Official Infamous: Second Son ****

I've just got the platinum for this( My first platinum ever :P ) I quite enjoyed my first run through but got a bit bored when redoing it on expert, though I did like the bad ending!

I'm finding it to be really boring and very frustrating in some parts. The only thing I like are the visuals.

I've been so disappointed with the PS4 so far. :(

I quite enjoyed it tbh. Started playing last Friday and had completed it with 100% by Sunday. Recently got all the trophies as well which is unusual for me, the only other game I felt motivated to get all the trophies for was Resogun.

It gets more fun once you get different powers and start upgrading them.

Some spoilers in this next bit...

Smoke is pretty crap tbh. Neon and video are the best. Video has insane mobility once fully upgraded and the invisibility is completely overpowered. Fully upgraded you can go invisible, subdue/execute two enemies upon which it forces you out of invisibility for some reason, probably for balance, but you can just go invisible again. You can take out masses of enemies without even being hit once, even on expert. Even with the larger enemies that you can't subdue/execute you can use a similar strategy by spamming invisibility and ranged attacks. Made the game extremely easy. Oh almost forgot about the ultimate move which is insane and can be built up extremely quickly using this strategy.

My main criticisms of the game would probably be repetitiveness of side missions/objectives, regular frame rate drops/poor frame rate in general and there not being enough main storyline content. Once you take away all the side missions there really isn't much there at all. Not being able to skip cut scenes on a second play through was annoying. Once you've upgraded and figured out how to use the powers properly the game is way too easy, even on expert.

Boomerang got this to me on Monday so I played a bit yesterday and an hour this morning before work.
Cleared all districts on the North part of the map but only just chasing the first Neon conduit so haven't made much progress storywise.

I'd say my opinions of the game are mixed, but more positive than negative.

Visually it's very nice, the powers are fun to use and the combat flows pretty well. The music is good and the voice acting is above average.

Downsides are deff that the story looks to be very short and the side missions are repatative, and also too easy as everything is on your map straight away.

Still, I'm finding the content to be more than enough to satisfy me and it's probably my favorite single player AAA game this generation so far.

Wouldn't have been worth a purchase for me as I won't do an Evil run, nor would I ever play it again in the future - but the experience is enjoyable for the first run through

Photo Mode is damn fine in this game. Nice addition along with the other patch changes

Really enjoying this so far. Only had it a day, sage reckons 47% in. I did however go around unlocking all the city collecting things as soon as I could instead of storyline missions so that may unbalance my actual progress.

Reminds me a lot of crackdown, which isn't a bad thing, however, the world just doesn't interact enough for me. It needed to be a bit more sandbox.

The graphics however are the best thing I've ever seen from a console. It's worth playing for that alone.

Finally; Miss my smoke head shots, feels handicapped having to aim for legs with neon.

I'm about 2/3's of the way through this.

Visually it's spectacular, one of the most amazing games I've seen in terms of eye candy.

In terms of gameplay, it's ok I guess. I'm finding it bit of a slog, although I want to love it.

A huge example of style over substance imo.

Not a patch on the first 2 Infamous games which were both excellent.

Ive just picked this up off a chap im MM
looking forward to playing it at weekend as i have been fairly neuteral on the game up until now

I loved the first, enjoyed the second but less so

I'm really getting bored of infamous, Done about 3 hours so far and its just run here kill a few guys, take a few photos destroy the vents on the van and blow it up.

The game looks amazing but the story is poor i think. So repetitive.

As someone who has a PS4 but never played an infamous game, is this game worth getting?

Merely due to the fact want something to play on my god damn console! lol

If you've never played an Infamous game then I'd say it's worth picking up second hand.

I know what you mean about just wanting some decent games to play, my XB1 has seen a heap more playtime than my PS4 so all that extra power is about as good to me as an inflatable dartboard right now.
