On sale now in USA. 394$ = £250, I think they'll come in at £320 though.

I work for an Intel owned company and today we got an email to let us know we can buy Haswell's from the 1st June under the employee purchase program. So I guess the shop that's selling these chips above could be genuine, or at most their stock is 2 week away. I just bought an i7 3770k though, but it was only 160 euro which was too good a price to ignore. Hoping I don't regret it when Haswell launches.

nice that gigabyte are going matt black for all their boards now, last pc I built for me has a m3 and that is same color, looks nice I think,

like to see other colors too, luminous or UV white would be so awesome, don't see why they couldn't^^

if we are only going to see 10-15% performance each year lets atleast make them better looking huh! hehe

This guy seemed pretty genuine is spilling the overclock beans on Haswell:
http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-cDEK1_DKM

In summary like many others he is sceptical on the 5GHz @ 0.9v based on what he has seen*, and basically breaks NDA to state '4.6 - 4.7GHz at a much higher voltage, 5GHz needing at least 1.4v'. Damn that's what it boils down to folks all this chat about overclock features and potential is looking like a lot of hot air with very little tangible gains over IvyB.

*Unofficial, unconfirmed, but pretty convincing.

BigBANGtheory well thats good news my 2500k is running 1.44v core for like a year now. PLZZZZ do [email protected] so i can buy you:p

Unfortunately your SB processor is much more tolerant to voltage, you can't for example run IvyB @1.4v (without elaborate cooling solutions) afaik due to the sharp increase in temps as you overvolt. We also know from many sources that 'Haswell runs hot like Ivy'. It is reasonable to assume therefore that running a stable Haswell @1.4v or there abouts is not going to be an easy task.

Ok yes I know we are still in a degree of speculation territory here I'm not trying to present this as fact, the picture as its unfolding though seems clearly to be that a 5GHz Haswell whilst not impossible will not be the norm.
