***Official Intel Haswell Thread***

I'm very much hoping my EVGA NEX will be compatible with Haswell, I know I don't use sleep mode too much (or USB3 for that matter), but I would still be a bit miffed if it's not compatible as it wasn't exactly the cheapest of PSU's :p

I'm still struggling to justify an upgrade to Haswell from an i5-3570K. I think, as I did when I went Clarkdale -> Ivy Bridge, i'll skip a generation and put the money towards a graphics card upgrade instead.

That's no offence intended to those who do choose to upgrade to Haswell - good luck and have fun with your new hardware! :)

I would have said the same thing however there does not seem to be much going out of the AMD/Nvidia camps this year other than some dressed up rebadges.

New 20nm card from AMD is possible before the end of the year, according to recent "leaks" anyway.

he can't say or else it's the sack

im guessing at idle voltage/full clocks

I would say 5ghz the norm if its a soldered die

Yeah idle voltages and max clock with ht disabled just to get into windows. Promising nontheless. Yeah, probably nit worth it for those on ivy and possibly Sandy but the clock for clock speed Vs Bloomfield is going to be significant with the bonus of much better thermals and power efficiency!

...me talking my way into getting Haswell!
