like 15-20C difference if I remember right might be 10-15.

Which should take you from

Asrock Extreme6 Z77 | i7 3770k @ 90C | 16GB Corsair Vengeance |
GTX ??? | SSD Crucial M4 128GB | CM Storm Trooper | Alpenföhn K2 |

Moving everything to new case tonight, so using the morning to push 4.9GHz. Currently using 1.24V under load to do so :)

Hottest core peaked at 94. Will see if I can get that down a couple of degrees.

All good for 4.9 with 1.25V under load and memory at 1866 9-9-9-28-1t

Many hours of prime and hottest core peaked at 90. So still some wiggle room :D

Edit: Wiggle room means I am currently going for 5GHz again :D

My case has not arrived, and my intention was simply to find the highest possible setting so that when I move my stuff,, I leave it as is for some time.

What batch is your cpu mate?

I'll try to remember to look when I pull everything apart to move to new case - though City Link were supposed to deliver that yesterday, so I now have no idea when am going to get it :(

I HATE CITY LINK!!!!!!!!

Looks like 5GHz ok at 1.3/1.31V, but that one single core is a problem.

All below 100C except hottest which got to 104.

20C variance between hottest and coolest (84C) at these speeds/volts.

Average across cores in IBT very high = 95.5C

Just need to decide if I can live with that, or go back down... but how many people get to actually runs their Ivy's at 5GHZ? :D

interested to know if you are getting any windows errors eyetrip in your windows logs ? WHEA errors this is ?

just I was testing for stability, and kept raising Vcore, and WHEA errors had all but gone, but then when I went > 95C my logs were plastered with them ... which made me think that the chip didn't like being above that temp at all

you've a very nice chip though
