Anyone have any issues with the physical stop button on a harmony remote not stopping whatever you're watching? My AFTV just drops out to the menus but continues to play whatever I'm watching, I have to press select and hit stop for it to stop playing and exit to menus. Bit of a pain so wondering if it can be sorted?

Looking for a remote which seconds as a keyboard....

Are the JUSTOP F20 / mele f10 pro really that bad ? Any alternatives out there ?

Considering some sort of air mouse myself. Fancying the mele f10 or pro, but are there any similar but better devices out there?

I've got the Mele F10 (non-pro), and I personally find the air mouse an annoyance. The feature is only useful in very few circumstances, for everything else I just want the simple up/down left/right buttons and OK.

Yet every time I press the back button it activated the air mouse, a bad feature!!!

I've stuck to using the RK remote app for android on my Minix X6, it's flawless in every way. And can use the screen as a mouse pointer

Sounds like it's not sending the 'stop' command, but something else. I've not used a Harmony, but from what I can gather, you can customise each button..

Yeah I realised there is no stop button on the AFTV remote so that could be why but it shows 'stop' on the myharmony software. I've added a sequence to bring up the xbmc osd and select stop that way, works well :)

Cool.

I'm using yatse for control from android but it seems that keypresses from the keyboard are not recognised ... All other controls seem to work fine but anything keyboard based fails.

I've got the feeling I have something wrong with my kodi setup

I'm not on the latest version but I'm on 13.2 and I've never had that issue

Not yet finalized my build, trying to make it wife friendly,
Yatse question, does it allow you to power down the xbmc box ?
General remote / kb question, what button to switch subtitles on and off?
General remote / kb question, what button to add to playlist?

Thanks. It boots to android first. I need one that will boot straight in to XBMC. Been looking and I can't find one.

No it doesnt. OpenELEC is a complete self contained OS (runs a flavour of Linux) with Kodi installed on top of that. It boots straight to Kodi, there is nothing else for it to boot to.

Try OpenElec in a VM if you don't have a spare hard drive.

It does exactly what you want and it's the best at doing it.

I stand corrected

I'm going to look into the CuBox-i4Pro that comes out in two weeks. Thanks again for your help.

I grabbed a Fire TV over the holidays during the £64 sale price, so glad I did, have setup Kodi with the Aeon Nox skin, spent the last few weeks just tweaking everything and can't believe it took me this long to try out Kodi as its brilliant.

This has been installed in the bedroom, have wall mounted it behind the TV so everything is hidden, now thinking about a Kodi setup in the living room and binning Sky TV as we never watch anything on it that isn't available on Freeview / Freest anyway just use it for recording.

I haven't started looking yet but assume I can buy / build a box with sat connections for live TV setup?

Yeah, I have a windows based HTPC in the lounge with a dual DVB-S card in there for satellite.

You need to use a PVR backend to do that tuning and recording, XBMC just has a plugin that talks to the backend. I use Argus-TV, but there are a few others for both Windows and Linux. You can have the backend on any computer in the network, the plugin will just connect to it's IP address in XBMC/Kodi.

Genuinely how good as a TV source is it? I have visions of an old Radeon AIO card as a tv when I was a student and was horrid picture and terribly laggy to change channels. I'm thinking of ditching VM, and I would also need to get either a sat dish or normal aerial fitted, so which would be better?
