*** Official Kodi (née XBMC) Thread ***

After seeing a friends android box in action I'm tempted to finally cave in and get one, has anyone got any recommendations of what to get? I've read that I'm better paying the little extra to get the 2gb ram as opposed to 1gb?

Any other solutions to VdubTV for matches? 2 issues:

- Keeps knocking me out mid game, and I have to launch the stream again
- No match choice, so if it's a Saturday 3pm kick off, I can't watch my team

AAA had a few matches in HD on Saturday.

Worth looking at Fox Sports 1 or BeIN sports, usually has a handful of Premiership Games

I finally took the plunge a couple of days ago and ordered a pi 2. I have setup openelec and whilst kodi could be a little more newbie friendly, I have to say I am so surprised at how great this little thing is. Moreso how easy it was for the wife to use.

Now there is one thing I know I am going to struggle with and that is how I would I be able to use my airvpn subscription.

For what its worth does anyone lnow if I can use airvpn/openvpn directly on an Asus RT-N56U router?

Cheers

You can use your TV remote for basic functions, through cec via HDMI.

I've recently ordered an Apple remote to see how well it works over gpio IR connection. It was the nicest looking, functional remote I could find online.

I'll do a write up when it arrives

I'm hoping a dedicated remote will be quicker than a CEC passthrough. It works, but takes a while to get through large menus.

The common problem is many films are filmed at 23.976 frames per second. Android devices can only play this back at 24 frames per second so compensate for the different framerates and you get stuttering. Its a limitation in android that hasnt been solved yet
