*** Official Kodi (née XBMC) Thread ***

Just got this and a few addons. Difficulty steaming anything. Keep getting "one or more items failed to play" seems its common but can't find anything via google?

I've checked firewall etc nothing

If it's working for you then no. If 15 has things you want that aren't working currently then yes.

Thanks NexusK

I went ahead and upgraded the other night and it seems really stable. It did break one of the add ons I have but the author has said this will be fixed in the next release. A couple of other little bugs I had in Helix have been fixed too. All in all it seems good

Anyway I can sort out NBCSN with major buffering when trying to watch games? I've lowered the stream quality down a notch and it'll still just stop with the best solution to close and reopen again. RPi is wired and there's no bandwith issues going on. Will a RPi 2 help in anyway whatsoever?

I've got NBCSN Golf Channel working with a VPN. Going to try it on the game tonight to double check. I used to use Smartdns which obviously doesn't work anymore.

Failing that VdubT25 is good for games on NBC. You don't get to pick a game though so if multiple games are on I'm guessing they chose the "biggest" game to play.

NBC have done something at their end apparently to stop non US viewers from getting it.

It a bit strange, I can get the golf channel working fine with a VPN but the Liverpool v Newcastle game wouldn't work last night. So maybe they've done something just on the Premiership football I don't know.

As said VdubT25 is alright, but seems to buffer a bit as I don't think they have the capacity to cope with everyone trying to watch.

Theres also a couple of HD links in AAAStreams addon that dont require VPN but you dont get match coice. That worked fine on Sundays games.

Whats going on with AAAStreams stealing code. I got an email and a text message today saying Xunity repo has closed and it affects Vdubt25 an istream

AAA have stolen the code from a load of devs and I get the impression AAA are making money from somewhere as the devs are going to shut down if its not sorted.

Guys, I have a media PC running openelec 5.1 on an SSD, I'm wanting to upgrade to the latest 5.8, I downloaded the version and stuck it in the Update folder on the root and rebooted the PC, it's supposed to see the latest version in the folder and update but it's not.

Any ideas?

Is there any other way to update? I'm not wanting to lose my settings, play counts etc

Not sure how to fix your problem, but does that info go into an exported library? You could back it up now so that if anything goes wrong you can reload the lib info.

Allegedly the AAAstreams admin also resorted to threatening other devs and their families. This has now become very nasty with some developers walking away from Kodi completely. I've deleted AAA now.

Have a look at https://seo-michael.co.uk/ for alternative addons.

Thanks for this. After everything that went on with AAAstreams, I am glad there is an alternative. Now the missus can watch her beloved Liverpool again. :)
