Epic :)

How do you customize the main menu, I like XBMC pretty much as default but if I could hide all the stuff I never use that'd be great.

I think its a skin specific thing - I use Aeon Nox, so the option is either under system in the main menu, or skin in the settings :) - very handy as I don't like to have options I don't need/use hanging about

I use that skin and i'm trying to add background music.... i've seen option for playlists, but it doesn't appear to let me pick an MP3 or .m3u.

Is there a better/easier way of adding background music to the menu screens?

How do you get the logos for TV and film titles?

You need the artwork downloader add-on, run that (it can take a while). Then select logo or single logo from the icon view setting within movies/tv. It is skin dependable though.

Depends which skin your using, but generally go settings > skin >then just look for main menu setting or similar.

Are you looking to just add background music or tv themes when you enter a tv series? I only use tv/film themes, i think it is possible with playlists for general background music but i havnt looked into it too much.

Just looking to use a single track for background music as soon as XBMC loads (and then turns off when you load a film).

Sounds straight forward enough... I think it probably needs to be set in an XML file somewhere

Once you've created a playlist you should be able to select it from the settings - I think your startup screen has to be set to Home Window for it to work, the two seem to conflict.

I've been messing with XBMC for the first time and have a major problem.
This is to be used on my PC where I have 2 monitors.
I always watch my movies/documentaries in the left monitor while I continue with my PC on the right.

How do I get XBMC to play only in my left monitor?
At the moment XBMC is in my right monitor but when I click on my left monitor XBMC minimises - how do I stop it?

Thanks

Just got this and love it! Having a proper play with Aeon Nox but doing it over a VPN from work so it's pretty laggy and slow. Looking forward to doing loads tonight!

How do you set background music for TV show folders?

Got the background music setup now. Much prefer that, to having the annoying clicks.

FYI, this is what i went with (I think it suits the Aeon Nox theme quite nicely!)

I had the same problem with remote log-on - in the end I windowed it (\ on my setup) and made the window about 25% size - sped up and made it a lot easier to tinker remotely :)

Having a problem with XBMC/Aeon NOX. I've got both Movies and TV Shows set to random background (Movies and TV respectively). TV works fine but the Movies only shows 1 image, then black, then the same image, and repeat. The fan art folder has over 300 images in. Any ideas?

I love this software so awesome, especially with that wizard installed. Watched Spartacus, lots of movies and my sister watched Barbie cartoons :D

Just installed the latest pre-release and using one of the selectable skins

Also, some films have a background and some don't. Why is that and how can I fix it/add the missing ones?

Looking in the /extrafanart/ folder it seems they are there too. For example Finding Nemo has no background, but there is an image for it that's been downloaded.

Urgh, just tested a 3D film with subs and low and behold it doesn't display properly.

I've managed to convert the .srt to a .sup (PGS) file to be used with 3D films, but despite Google saying that XBMC supports PGS subtitles it doesn't see the file. Any ideas? :(
