*** Official Kodi (née XBMC) Thread ***

I've got a Pulse8 CEC adaptor, works alright :) I found the software completely useless though, used something else in the end.

I think it's just called HDMI-CEC tray. I use it with my Sony Bravia TV and all the controls work nicely. Volume does the TV volume, and channel up/down does XBMC volume.

I think im going to use win7 just as I know it well and will hopefully mean I don't run into as many problems.

How do you rate your blackgold? Im looking around for a tv card that has either dual hd sat or a sat and normal freesat card that's low profile and works well with xbmc and recording.

Try it with openelec first, it's free after all and takes under 1min to install. Bluray works on Linux now, so shouldn't be an issue. As for drivers, it's been years since I've had Linux not working with anything. Only issue would be no Netflix as that isn't available on Linux.

I just found out about video library tags. From the xbmc wiki navigate to "Videos -> Library -> Movies -> Tags"

I don't have a Library option under Videos, what am I missing? I just cannot find tags anywhere.

Been playing around today getting Cinema Experience set up, now have the option to play a movie straight away or in a 'Cinema' style. So it has some movie trivia slides first then some trailers, ratings screen then the film.
Looks cool and nice for a more immersive experience for big films.
