*** Official Kodi (née XBMC) Thread ***

Running Black Glass Nova skin but when playing music, I get a static background picture with the 'rotating bars' visualizer. Can I replace the background with a black one as Im worried that I might get image burn on my tv?

Kinda worried/paranoid I can ruin my screen with the same picture :)
 
I get a white circle next to all my mkv files if I browse to them via my raspberry pi :(

Think I should do a fresh build on it

Any step by step guides about I could have a bash at, streaming from my NAS is the main thing, anything else I can get installed is a bonus :

can you play the file from usb connected to the pi?
 
so i just recently got myself one of these android tv boxes which runs kodi.

ive installed Kodi 15.2 but ive read a few places saying that the 14.2 version is a lot more stable.

i seem to be having some issues where by if hardware accel is turned on i get audio sync issues but if i turn it off i get stuttering on some videos.

anyone got any tips/tricks for Kodi? which is the best, least buggy build etc.

15.2 is fine. Hardware acceleration leave libstagefright enabled but you can disable mediacodec. If you have sound sync issues this can be adjusted whilst playing in the audio controls and then saved so it applies to all future videos.

now in regards to add ons, which is good ones to get/use? (if we allowed to talk about such things on here)
 
Hi, I have a TV tuner, it has BDA support (PCTV Nanostick 290e), does anyone know of a good guide as to how to get it working within Kodi so I can watch freeview etc. ?
