My problems are still here.

On my 4th set of nvidia drivers and it seem slikea damn framerate issue playing with a god damn 3dfx voodoo 1.

Probably goign to give up and just remove this 8800gt and put in an old x1900xt. At least ATI drivers should work with Windows 7, rather than these nvidia POS!

Point is Rob, you used to be a good player back in the early l4d1 days (I know this) but now you generally tend to run off, do stupid things and/or ragequit, so people have lost patience. Sort your act out and I'm sure it'll change.

So whilst playing versus with you guys yesterday, my game had a huge conk out and started to slow down, and suddenly there was graphical artifacting all over the place, the floors were white, the models were blue, I don't even know what to describe it as. Anyway, any reason why? I fixed it by disconnecting from the server, then joining again.

word of warning

the L4D1 map packs made the game CTD everytime I tried to play on those campaigns. Today, that problem spread to all the l4d2 campaigns too... saw someone mention that happened to them on the steam forums.
seems to be rectified by deleting the vpks from the addon folder.

Apparently the first link on there causes some issues for some people. Causes CTD for me in the l4d1 campaigns, but not the l4d2 campaigns.

yeah could be coincidence, but today ive had CTDs on l4d2 campaigns and they've gone away after deleting the addon vpks.
although now i get a host of console errors related to the missing vpks, and my connection fails to every server... doesnt make sense
