***Official Left 4 Dead 2 Thread***

How odd. I set up a lobby, started inviting people and then got this message:

"[OcUK] Bakes0310: have sex with me"

This is just a public service announcement/warning.

I would say yes. But I can't tonight, So I'm out.

With that said, I should get some more L4D1 practise in. It seems much harder.

Tbh i can't wait for the Hard Rain - Blood Harvest conversion :p

Will be sweet having the entire finale area surrounded by a few inches of water, meaning the tank actually has a prayer besides hitting rocks.

Then either you were on a server with 1 of those ridiculously low threshold plugins that kick you if you use voice commands too often... as in, not often enough to be spamming but enough that the bot did it on its own and the server kicked you, or god knows.

On the bright side, voice spamming isn't that much of a problem in this game. The number of retards who thought spamming 'pills here' in L4D was ridiculous.

It was only funny when Louis did it, everyone else was annoying.

Anyone got any tips for the Parish finale on expert?

I've done it but only I survive lol, want to do it with everyone surviving but something always goes wrong. :(

As it has been said, it needs a solid team. Skipping the tank also works well.

The way we originally did it back in the day, was to have two in front running on the right and two behind by a few meters.

If you are lucky, you get a few pipe bombs and molotov at the start. If this is the case, save all the pipes for the end.

Run down the right hand side all the way, use the ladders to climb up the petrol lorry and keep going.

As you get to the ramp that leads up (not far from first tank) skip it, and use the sides to run beneath it.

You get to a van with ammo in the back of it, just past here is where horde stops spawning for the tank. When you reach it, kill the final waves, restock ammo, get to full health and advance.

Best plan is to spawn the tank, run back as far as you can and then get around him using the side panels of the bridge or the big lorry in the middle. If you can get past him, head for the fuel lorry with the ladder on the back (this is when horde will start spawning). Hardest thing to do is avoid the tanks rock throws as he is an aim bot. Everyone needs to be running at full speed.

From here, if you have pipes, use them with team work one at a time. Throw them to the right and stay on the left.

As you drop down onto the lorry stay right towards the chopper side of things and throw a pipe to the left. Pipes buy you all the time in the world to stick right, avoid horde and keep running.

It can be hard and if you don't get pipes at the start, even harder. Try and save some from the map before maybe? If not save the pipe for the end of the bridge/drop down before you get to near the chopper.

Hope that helps :D

heh well it will have been 2 months by the time I'm back online again. At this rate I'll me making Midnight look good! ;)

Dear lord, you're still waiting? Good old ADSL eh? (lolz)

the first thing you're getting when you join a game is a sm_slap off the side of the dead centre hotel ledge mate.

aww I miss you too mate.

Yeah its because they decided to move the phone line as well. only took them about 45 days to do that. now just waiting for the ADSL activation, so 8 days to go!

Jesus 45 days? Did they start building it from the Middle East or something?

Sky were blaming it on BT and saying it was costing them millions as there were all sorts of problems for customers at the moment. they did warn me to be fair and offered me free sky dish install (which would have cost me £60 otherwise)
