edit: I just realised, I joined in June 2006, which was like three weeks before I got my current PC - it's not far off four years old - it's served me well

On the laptop at the moment so it wouldn't have made much difference, this thing starts belching out smoke when I load up minesweeper so I doubt it would be up to the task of running HL1 let alone anything based on the newer Source engine
I don't know if I'd necessarily call it better, I feel it lacks the atmosphere of the first game but other than that it can be great fun. As with the first, it stands or falls based on who you're playing with. Basically, if you enjoyed the first game then you'll like this one. I still reckon you can pick it up cheap in a few weeks time when the new DLC is released but a few on here have picked it up recently for about £15 which is still a bargain considering the hours of entertainment to be had.
(Valve, you had better not prove me wrong on this)

Do I use source mod to play with the medkits and pills? There is only one bad map and its the second one for Parish which is currently littered with med kits. I am not asking for a step by step guide but could some one point me vaguely in the right direction? I have done a bit of googling but I am not getting anywhere fast.
I guess I have to ftp sourcemod onto the server then fiddle with it until its right.
