Bah Tefal you noob! :P

Gonna have to sort outy a reshuffle of the L4D2 servers methinks. Not enough usage atm for Insanity Versus and ocuk 1 is having problems (sigh). I'll do it at some stage this weekend...

Not in the same league. There are virtually no high places to get a satisfying pounce from in L4D2 without knowing every map and every invisible ledge/ tree trunk. There are no high places that compare to those in NM or DA. I want to jump from the 20th floor of a building... far more than is needed for a 25 pounce, and get the satisfaction of pulling it off. that doesn't exist in L4D2 with the exception of a couple of spots.

Invisible walls were a massive problem on some maps, but not to the same extent. The hunter in L4D2 is marginalised far too much.
Imo it's only an issue if you're the sort of player who spends far too long setting up that perfect pounce when you could've died and respawned twice during the setup time, or clawed the survivors, or even just provided a distraction for your teammates (remember them?) to do things.

People obsessed with the 25-point pounces are an annoyance imo, it's not as if most of them even get them consistantly anyway.

That's the trade off and risk you take, do you go in now and scratch for six damage or save that pounce and get 25 damage (and possibly miss it anyways). It's no different than saving a charger for a point when you know they'll be more effective.

I agree with the above post. Most of these videos of the Hunter pouncing all over are nice to watch but pretty useless in a real game for the reasons mentioned above.

Although one game I was in I remember on DA the second level where you can get up near the crane and the surviors have to climb the ladder into the flats. I seen three 25 pounces (two in a succession by myself) on the same person, each time he got down and tried to climb the ladder he was on the floor again with another 25 pounce. He had 25 health by the time he got up the ladder.

The big pounces are what make the Hunter useful in some situations. Hopping around like a mad distraction is the other use of Hunter. It just depends what the situation is.

That sucks. Are the other components okay?

Can't check anything other than the psu and hadd :(

the only other computers in the house are agp and some pentium crap, and the other doesn;t even have a gfx slot just a set of holes to solder one in :/

At least typing on a PS3 hasn't affected your typing/spelling :D

I currently have my backup socket 775 system, but I'm selling that on soon to help raise funds to replace my aging laptop. I can understand why Tefal may not have a spare...

If i hadn't given it to my brother/he hadn;t taken it to leeds i would have one :p

if cpu is fried though i have a dual core p4 775 somewhere.

I quite fancy joining in this sometime but I have literally no idea what "insanity vs" actually means lol. Complete L4D noob here!
