have added the tank melee modifier now, going to look at the plugin code and see if there is anyway to tweak it further than cvars allow.

successfully modified the plugin to allow me to set the multiplier in the cfg (instead of fixed 50%). just got to work out if 1 or 0 is normal damage :|

it defaults on i think so 1 = reduced damage.

You will of course be firing that modded version back at me to use I'm sure ;)
 
yeah, it defaults to on/off :) but in the source he defines a constant of 0.5 as the reduction modifier.... trying to work out how it's used :) My version just allows you to set that modifier at the moment

I'm quite up for an insanity BH or NM tonight. Need link to upload them to the insanity servers I guess though?

Version 3 of No Mercy is on there, but I'm waiting for a more final version of Blood Harvest before I bother uploading that one.

May or may not play a game tonight, consider me out for Team VS or Vanilla versus, but Insanity No Mercy and I'll probs be up for it.

That Ghost Tank plugin look pretty useful, but I fear it may interfere with the multi-tank plugin on the Insanity Versus server(s).

BH is about as complete as it will be for at least a few weeks imo (we played it and it's fine, I have only found one thing to fix since I put it up and it's pretty minor anyway). NM is definitely getting a replacement sooner or later becasue I need to combine VS and coop into one mode (sorry guys!) but that won't be for a week or two I think.

I'm working on Death Toll now :)

9 sounds fine for me, i'm sure Knub and that will be interested as well.

Would be good to get some of the old school team vs folk in as well, Steve downright refuses to play for some reason but i'd like to see the likes of Defrag, Tefal etc in to make it more interesting tonight :)
 
Also, anyone interested in an 8v8 test tomorrow evening at some point? I'm off work on Wednesdays now so I can play on Tues evenings! :D

Edit: Tomorrow is in fact Tuesday and not Wednesday which means that I must un-volunteer :(. For some reason I thought today was Tuesday and that tomorrow would be Wednesday, it being the day which has generally followed Tuesday for the last while or so. Unfortunately today is Monday but it did a damn good job at convincing me it was Tuesday hence the mistake.

Insanity Versus Updated:

General
-Medkits and defibs brought back

Survivor
-Defibs take 3x longer to resussitate dead survivors
-Survivor revive health lowered
-Chainsaw Ammo halved
-Granade launchers less effective against tanks

Infected
-Witch should anger slower
-Witch burns faster

Will need to test it out at some point. Probably tomorrow night. :)
 
Why have you turned it back into Survivor Easymode? :confused: Unless the infected respawn timer is halved, returning medkits and defibs is a waste of time. Everyone got used to only having saferoom kits and no second chances, this is just gonna seem like a joke.
 
perfect, worked out when I eat now then? I'll try and sort out tank spawns on my server, we're not getting enough of them :) I know I can change 1 variable and get them on every map... but that includes parish 1, which is harsh

I wouldn't be so sure, doesn't Insanity have 100% tank on 2-5 and 100% Witch on 1, and that hardly ever seems to work. Witch on the first level spawns so rarely.
 
anyone want to run through some campaigns or scavenge with me tonight? Iv barely played any of them since getting the game, I missed the initial release period and am just getting into it now. I had l4d so im not so brainless.
 
I'm 100% sure I can get a tank to spawn on EVERY map in the game :D First map tanks are way harsh though :)

Indeed... they mess the game up a bit too easily with 1 bit of bad luck. Isn't there someway to block it on the first map though? Since the first map at least needs a Witch, she just never spawns (cept on Hard Rain).
