Yeah 40-50 is about the limit, and even then 50 tends to cause problems in certain events/finale's.

Best moment for increased horde size is definatly the bottom of the hill on Death Toll 1. It looks fairly clear then when you go down you get swarmed by zombies from all sides.
 
I remember the fun experiments on the linktart/fragm servers with insane zombie counts. 200 zombies was fun...aside from the horrendous lag and the fact that one L4D server instance ate all of the physical server resources.

We can dream :D They'd have to die in 1 hit from anything but man would it be funny.
 
Yeah... I think Link played with their health a bit when we were experimenting. The main issue was that hordes would *never* end. Do you remember the endless finale problems? :p

I could never get changes to the finale to work properly on L4D, aside from making the horde/tank cycle longer/shorter.
 
The new fallen infected could get....well interesting :eek: especially with expert fire damage :p



2 really good games last night, the game at midnight especially had some good team work from our side :p

okay, I'm starting work on a tweaked scoring system. Hopefully it works how I want etc :) more details to come once I get it going and can see what I'm able to do :)

okay, I think this is possible. Although some things might be a bit of a puzzle, I should hopefully be at the stage to test this before the end of the weekend :) hopefully it also allows teams who are doing much better to gain a reasonable points gap and leave the close games close. more info as it starts working :)
 
Looks as tho you get his health pack as a reward for killing him.. sweet

if that's true with vanilla fire dmg he's more of an asset than a threat, if he's in a horde running shoot him and they all burn = you get a free kit.

If the horde has surrounded you and he's in close kill him horde burns you run free and take 5 dmg + get a kit
