Let me know what you think of the game I really want it but a little unsure marvel vs capcom 3 was my favorite fighting game of all time.
I'm right now downloading the free trial for gears 4 125GB games are so big now.
The Marvel fan in me really wants this game. The other half is telling me I'll be a disaster because I've never really played or understood fighting games before.
Is one of them gaming fighting sticks needed to really play good at the game? I don't have one but I do have the option for KB or PS4 controller.
Also it's a bit of a beefy DL
I use a fight stick I find they suit me better and they make the games more fun for me but now days they are no better than a pad, take the marvel 3 curly finals this weekend and evo finals earlier this year the grand finals match criss g vs ryan lv one on pad one on stick. Years ago games were very strict on the inputs and the stick was by far the best option but then street fighter 4 came out in 09 and was very forgiving on inputs so pad became just as good.
Decided to just pre-purchase the Deluxe from GMG. Will leave to DL overnight as it will probably take a while but can't wait to see how bad I am at fighting games
I'll try work with the PS4 controller for now but may eventually buy a fight stick. Any recommendations for when I do buy a fight stick?
Yeah I would do what hedge says and just get a cheap stick first then if you get into it you can just upgrade the buttons and stick with the sanwa parts off ebay it's around £30 for the 8 buttons and stick and makes your stick pretty much as good as any other.
I don't know what sticks are around now though I only have madcatz ones and they are out of business now. Just make sure the stick you get is compatible with the sanwa parts so you have upgrade path.
I have skull girls and always thought it a great game with great netcode but could never find anyone to play it with there not many people play it.

Well just ordered mine now thanks for tip.
I was a bit unsure about ordering after how street fighter 5 turned out but seeing a stream online last night it looks like a proper marvel game and I loved mvc3.
Should be fun just got to do my 3 hour download. When does this game start 6pm?
Yeah I got a couple of weeks off work so can play whenever. I don't know the characters very well though I only had a few hours on the game.

Nothing official but people are guessing 5pm or 6pm our time. something to do with when steam games normally come out.

The control layout seems completely wrong if your playing on stick (well for my madcatz xbox stick anyway). To do a basic combo on marvel infinite it's light punch, light kick, hard kick, down hard punch so I have switched it to a,x,y,b so I can just dial it in like on mvc3. Also switched lb,rt around so I don't need to use the end 2 buttons on my stick.

I want to really spam people from across screen and the best I found so far seem to criss and arthor but still playing story mode not sure who I will end up with.
Back on mvc3 my team was wesker,sentinal,nemesis and I could 1 touch kill them.
This game has taken me long time to get used to the new layout still not there yet but seems like hard punch is the go to button for most things. Still only played story mode so haven't got to try out using the stones much anyone got any advice on what ones are good?

Have you tried canceling into it from the move before instead of waiting for it to finish? I cold have a look at the mission after I finish story mode if you still haven't got it.

Yeah I just had a look at the mission for you and it is a cancel not a normal combo so there is no gap, the split second after you press the hard punch you press the light punch for the web throw and as these need to be pressed so close together there is no time to input the directions which means you start putting the directions in on the move before it.
It would be easier to start by practicing just the hard punch into web throw (if the web throw gets blocked your going to slow).

Does anyone know if we will be getting anymore characters for free or are the rest all paid? Would be nice if there was something like fight money like in SFV to unlock paid content.
I have got everything I would want unlocked except for one stage using FM in SFV
I think the rest is all in the season pass.
I didn't like the fight money system in sf5, I liked the idea of it but in practice I just ended up spending all my fight money to unlock characters and a year later I still only had the 5 or so stages the game launched with.
I also find it hard to justify spending £25 on season pass when there is so many great games I can get for less money like gta5 which I haven't got round to playing yet or every game on origin access for a year.

I might get the season pass at some point if it half price but right now I still got lots of characters to choose from and I'm actually happy with the roster, the characters from the old mvc3 feel new to me and I find my self playing characters like rocket that I would never of even touched in mvc3.

Wow nice one, I still can't even do basic combo stuff yet I'm struggling with the new button layout a bit. I still been winning online think I'm on 7 win streak just spamming reality and projectiles.
I did fight an iron man yesterday that was really good at combo's might have been you kept getting me in corner and picking me back up over and over then into photon cannon.
that combo is easy, wesker, sentinel and nemesis have poisoned your execution and no it wasnt me, i havent played anyone other than my friend online yet.
thats corner only and required extra resources, my combo requires nothing and no switching. i am sure i can found a 1 hit kill combo with iron man within a few days.
i need to practice a second character before i play real people. i am thinking of strider or a big body for damage.
Yeah sentinal nememesis wesker was so easy, the assist had OTG so you could just do basic stuff and gets a kill.
I did have a little while in mission mode today to learn some combo's and right now my team is doctor strange upfront with Nemesis backing him up which works really well just need to learn some tag combo's it's a lot harder with out all the DHC.
If you get something with sanwa buttons and stick you can't go far wrong.
My first stick was the madcatz £60 one which I upgraded to sanwa parts then about a year later I got the madcatz tournament edition which I have used ever since just replacing the buttons and stick every year or so, both are xbox 360 so always work. Even though they both have same parts I much prefer the tournament edition with it being bigger it sits nice on my lap.
I just had a look at the review on your atrox it looks really cool I was well impressed when it flipped open.
