*** Official Mass Effect 2 Thread ***

will this game run on the following and at what settings (high, medium, low??)

Q660
3GB Ram
nVidia 8600

Assuming you mean a Q6600, I imagine it'll run ok. Your 8600 will hold you back though, so you'll probably be stuck with low-medium settings. Consider upgrading your graphics card and you should be able to play at max :D

EDIT:

System requirements:

* OS = Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7
* Processor = 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU
* Memory = 1 GB RAM for Windows XP / 2 GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7
* Hard Drive = 15 GB
* DVD ROM = 1x Speed
* Sound Card = DirectX 9.0c compatible
* Direct X = DirectX 9.0c August 2008 (included)
* Input = Keyboard / Mouse
* Video Card = NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater; ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater

Loved the firsts but lost my save :( ill probly cheat my way through again just to know whats going on in the 2nd

I completed the first one on the 360 but because steam had the Mass Effect deal on I had to replay it on the PC.

I decided to be a bad guy this time and it is way more fun. I love just doing whatever I want without caring about the consequence's. Can't wait for the second one now!

HELP! Ok so ive started playing ME1 for the first time. Awsome story, very film like but you have control of the script.

Now my default armor/shield is rubbish but i cant fit any new stuff ive purchased because its geyed out.

Ive not improved my armor skills at-all. Maybe thats it?

Yes, you can only equip light armour to begin with and then you assign skill points so you can wear medium armour and heavy armour. It also depends on your class, some can only wear light armour.

Damn it! I was going well but got to a boss and just dont have enough armor/sheild. Purchased this awsome heavy amor but cant equip it. Oh well. Il have to do some easier site mission and keep putting the points on armor. Ive maxed machine gun & sniper already.

Being a renegade on Mass Effect is fun, it just means you get to be an ****!

This actually bugs me about recent bioware titles - you used to get to be good, or be really evil in their games. Now you get to be good, and be nice to people along the way, or be good, but yet somehow be a complete ******* to people along the way.

i loved the first one , i played through it again as i read about the special stuff you can transfer to me2 if you completed it.

btw i recommend buying the sound track its awesome ! and available cheap.

the best bit i thought was when you saved loads of ppl and they start playing some music, like the ned of star wars.

oh and i shagged some woman in it ;)

I have pre-ordered the Collectors edition. Got a voucher for a store so I thought I might as well. Really looking forward to it, one of my favourite games of all time the first one. I do have two sets of special armour now though. Blood Dragon from Dragon Age and the one with the collectors edition.

I played Mass Effect on the 360. It always felt like the 360 couldn't handle the game very well so I may try the PC version. What's the best price of a hard copy of Mass Effect One for PC?

I actually find it better now. Before it was more a case of being good, or being a tit for no real reason. Came across a bit childish with some of the pointless evil.

Whereas now it's just a different means to a justifiable end.

Has anyone managed to work out what's been confirmed for the UK collector edition? I've got my finger poised on the cancel button.

Same I find it better, you're inherently good after all (you're saving the universe!) but it depends how you go about it. You can either be Mr/Mrs Lawful an not tread on any toes or do whatever it takes to get the job done so the greater good can prevail, even if it means shooting a few folk in the head.
