Do not use Mayhems Pastel with Primochill tubing or Tygon tubing as Mayhems Pastel seems to react with it changing the colour of the tubing to a greenish colour. This is not the fault of Primochill, Tygon or Mayhems it is just a incompatibility issue. Pastel works fine with XSPC, Thermochill, Clear Flex, Masterclear and a few other brands.


@ Ash2097, yes its plasticiser. I had it too, I initially suspected it was something like polystyrene bits from the packing materials, but the system was 12 months old and only appeared a few weeks previous.

When breaking the system down the white bits were squidgy. Just drain the loop, flush and re-fill.

I have emailed them (and Mayhem replied here as well) about the Primochill Advanced and they said this is one of the best they have tried...
And the Primochill they were preferring to is Primochill PRO not Advanced

@Ash2097 if you could send us a small sample we can tell you what that is (we will pay shipping if you like) as we now have some very fancy analyzing equipment that can tell us the properties or liquids are. So if it is plasticizer it will show it up and tell us :). if your interested in sending us a sample my email is michael at mayhems.co.uk.

Were sifting though all the legal stuff right now as were partnering up with a international company and all so a local company in research and development of nano fluids. The Silver Nano tube fluid is being polished up and were running more tests on the product. Im not going to rush this as this need to be perfect as its not going to be cheap.

Well today is a landmark day for Mayhems. We have now officially partnered up with Primary Dispersions Ltd in the UK. We will be working together to advance our coolants and designs for products to new levels. We now have “exclusive” access to processes that our competitors can only dream off and we will be using this new technology to our full advantage. We are not looking to be one or two steps ahead were looking to be years ahead of the game.

Good to hear Mick - hope it all goes well for you, and we end up with even more amazing products. I will certainly be sticking with Mayhems - wouldn't use anything else.

Hey Mick, just wondering how you're getting on with your Tygon E1000 and compression fittings?

I managed to source some 8/11mm Tygon E1000 from America. It arrived yesterday, was really surprised by how rubbery it is. It's a bit like what I'd expect intestines to feel like! :o

I've tried this on my Bitspower 8/10mm compressions and despite being 1mm larger than the fitting I'm still able to pull the tubing free. I was thinking I might add a bit silicon sealant to help keep it secure. Have you had any leaks since you started using the stuff?

Yeh we can still tug on it but i fixed the issue by adding o-rings around the tubing ;). it much better how ever still not perfect. Never had a leak in the 4 systems were running it in. "yet" ... lol
 
That's a good idea :) I have a spare pack of o rings so I'll need to have a go myself.

Don't suppose you have any pics of the other systems you're running with the E1000? The tubing is a bit more cloudy than I'd like but I'm thinking it'll still look great with the Pastel Red.
 
Yeh its defo not as clear how ever we have all so noticed a tinge of green on the white system appearing after a while on the tubing but not in the res and do not know what that is with. I cannot show the other systems there all under NDA atm.

Oh, have you only noticed this with the white pastel? I found a picture on another forum showing the same thing.
 
Well more news... Mayhems has expanded quite a bit more. we now have a new office / research and manufacturing plant/unit. Since Friday we've been moving in and as of this Friday coming it will be finished.

Since we have moved we have managed to get the water down now to 0.001 TDS ....... Whoot we all so now have room to bulk buy 60,000 bottles in at a time ... Not bad since 5 years ago we only produced 24 bottles in a day ;) and could only store 100 bottles.. more new will follow with some more developments from us.
 
Just to show you some thing a little different, Torrey Hughes a maker of live art is using our products in his latest masterpiece . These Guitars are used by some of the biggest artist in rock. ;) This is Mayhems UV Laser Green gone into this peace. Like our Motto "We give you the tools, You make the masterpiece."
