**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

Logged in today and had a lot of updates to download.
Unfortunately now my profile and option tabs are visible and can click on them but both pages are just grey windows. So I cannot alter any settings or access downloads page at all.
3 of the 5 windows on the main page are also greyed out. The text at the bottom of the windows is visible but no pictures or anything else.
So basically for whatever reason it is now totally screwed.
Same if started in safe mode (which disables any mods)

Haven't run into this myself but have seen several similar reports on the official forums. No idea if there's a reliable workaround or solution but it might be worth having a look.
 
777 is lush! Done a couple of transatlantic last week or so! very impressed.

Also, has anyone any experience using Lossless Scaling with MSFS? Watched a couple of videos on it, can't get it 100% as I'd like?

i7 10750, 32gb and an RTX2060

Until I can upgrade to a 40 Card/Laptop I need to make the best of it!!!
 
Recently re-installed this on the Series X and gave it a blast after watching some videos. Quite enjoyed it, so I downloaded it to my PC (via Gamepass) Surprised how well it runs on my GTX970 and i5 something or other (PC 9 years old). Anyway, watched more YT videos on how to plan flights using the G1000, did some small 30min flights. Allis well, really good fun. Gave a longer flight tonight, East Midlands to Ibiza in the Cessna Citation private jet thing. Did Flight Plan on world map and set the AP up and enjoyed the flight. I sped the game up a bit over France (R+Ctrl+ -/+ on numpad). Did an ok landing, went abit to the right but managed to land more or less central, taxied to GA parking. Loved it.

I have saved some Flight plans for future attempts, they are all flights I have been on. Looking forward to the Manchester to Cancun flight. 9hrs of looking at water mainly lol.

Question though, the Man-Can is further than the range of the A320neo (I think thats the plane), will that matter if I have unlimited fuel. I assume it wont. As I rather fly that than the old Boeing 747.
 
I dowloaded the uk update and London is still the same mess with 2 ships where HMS Belfast should be and low water levels along the Thames with boats sitting high and dry
 
i have got back into this but having a strange problem with any commercial jet, i do the cold start fine as im an experienced pilot but when im starting the engines, nothing happens. It says the electric buttons are not in correct position but they are :(

done it on 787, 737, 747 and A320

Can you record a video so we're seeing what you're seeing? You may have conflicting controls somewhere.
 
definitely don't have conflicting controls as its all on default. Im starting to think its a mod, its really weird, yesterday i had no errors on the FCM yet still the engines wouldnt start and had to press the shortcut key...absolutely nothing changed in the **** pit except the actual engines starting.
