There's going to be an XBox version, my guess is you'll need a fat Internet pipe and they'll use the cloud to stream the video to you in some form or another

Yeah, the worlds being supplied by bing maps, and is downloaded as you fly. Gonna need some speedy connection for all that lark!

@NZXT30 Yup, it's real. ;)

If true, just read a real downer about FS2020, i.e. that there's no current plan for inclusion of VR. Just hoping that this isn't true.

Watched Froogle's and FD2S's videos on it. It looks utterly amazing.

Despite how awesome XP11 is, I've always felt it to look and feel a little last gen.

The work going into this new sim is unbelievable. I hope there's going to be a decent 737-800 available for it.

The weather looks real, I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a flightsim to do this. There is definitely a PC upgrade on the cards now.

This to me, potentially spells out the ending for X Plane 11 and potentially driving companies like Orbx out of business. At the very least they would have to adapt their business into bespoke models for airports etc, but how mod-able will MSFS be?

This looks fantastic. Very excited. I'm an avid flight simmer with several thousand hours in total and I'm more excited than I've been for a long time!

I'm still doing the odd flight here and there in P3D as I stuck with all the add ons I had bought rather than going down the XP11 route. P3d was always just a stop gap extending the life of FSX until the next generation of flight sim came about and this could be it. God I hope Microsoft dont balls this up.

You know aircraft developers like PMDG/FSLABS are licking their lips at this £££££££££££££
I have an unfortunate feeling they will definitely up their prices (not like $139.99 for an addon aircraft isnt bad enough)

As for ORBX, I still think they can have an influence on good quality addon airports. Only time will tell.

The announcement of this sim has certainly stopped me from purchasing further addons for P3D/XP11 :p

Anyone here made it into the alpha test group?
According to the website, they're meant to be sending notifications from the 17th Oct to the 24th Oct, and then releasing the first alpha on the 24th to some users.
I've certainly not heard anything as yet.
