**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

From what I can tell, it has a 747 and an A320. More jets to come, but I think they will come from companies like PMDG who, as per my link above, are already cracking on with their version for expected release for Q1 in 2021.
You're right sorry, was getting mixed up between the 737 and A320, duh.

I think more of what I am trying to say is that I haven't yet found a review from a simmer - all the main ones seem to still be under an NDA spell, whilst most of the videos out there from people like GamerMuscle are not really who you would call simmers.

Most jokes have twist rudder which works well, trim the rudder you need so you don't have to hold it
Urmmm No, joysticks can but don't always have a twist action for rudder control I'm not aware of any yokes that have this. Generally you don't trim the rudder either though you can in some aircraft, but by and large the rudder is needed for ground operations and trimming will not help with that, you'll really need pedals for rudder control if you're using a yoke.

Sorry I mean yokes not jokes! :)
(Yes joysticks Im aware that you can twist Ive got an X52, but Im wonder if I should splash out on the full caboodle.

Incidentally, are there "wireless" yokes/rudders/throttle?
Would be great for clutter free (except for power!)

Are yes yoke's don't, need pedals for rudder

Lol at Captain Bounce!

Bloke needs to learn how to control his airspeed

Airspeed was high due to not using flaps and flying 3rd person view instead of cockpit, also the approaches were very short on turning final too. But yeah undercarriage would have collapsed on most of those and worse!. Looks good though dunnit!

When I used to fly I used to trim the plane while flying so that I could ease off of the yoke.

Those landings made me wince...

Not that I’m aware of, but you can of course just use a usb hub to plug everything into and then just have a single point of connection to the pc.

There are options in this game to help with rudder, like automatically compensating during takeoff to keep the aircraft straight. You could probably get away without rudder for a bit or at the very least minimal use of one which would make a twist stick less irritating.

If you want the full experience in a flight sim though you can’t beat a proper set of pedals. Joystick vs yoke is preference really and obviously depends which aircraft you prefer flying as to which might make more sense. Pretty sure it’s heresy to fly an airbus with a yoke and you may have to answer to the inquisition.
