**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

Yeah I had the same issue with my xbox one pad. Can only do so much then you gotta reach for a keyboard.

Also how on earth do I slow my engines down? I hold the brake so the little "lever" on the engines goes to 0 but there is a larger one.

Anyone managed to claim a Steam refund yet? If they can't be bothered with simple, basic HOTAS profiles I'm not doing the work for them, because amazingly enough that's what I paid them for! The whole thing seems a bit of a shambles so I'm not going to miss out on too much.

How's the game running on your rigs and what hardware have you got ?

I'm looking to buy a new computer, the CPU, RAM and Mobo are easy choices, it's the graphics card which isn't, is it best to wait now until the next gen cards come out in the Autumn?

You'd be absolutely bonkers to buy any form of graphics card now.

I bought a 1660 super a few weeks ago because i dont have a never ending budget so no way am i spending £400+ on a card. I get 30fps which for a flight sim is fine. and im only running an old i5 4 series and 16gb ddr3 ram aswell.

I've seen people with much better rigs still saying theyre getting similar fps, so as ever it depends how much youve got to spend, but spending $$$$$ more almost defo wont get you an increase of 100+ fps, itll be 6 months of game updates and optimisations before we see any big increases imo.

Nice to hear - I'm intending to upgrade later in the year to Ryzen, but with a system as in the sig, looks like it might run OK. Thanks

I'm going to have to wait till the installer is fixed as it crashes back to desktop after it says press any key and I press a key, have tried everything windows and amd updated nothing is running in the background, have launched game with admin It's easier to get a cracked version than a working legit version ridiculous.

I had Rtx 2060 Super gaming x brand new in front of me for £350 and I had to. It was difficult to press buy, I just checked and they offer 30 days hassle free return so I might be sending it back in 2 weeks.

You use the throttle not the brakes

Download froze at 60something gb so I rebooted.

now the game lets me in but I clearly don’t have all the content.

how do I force a validation of data?

Download after 7 hours. Looking forward to giving it a try after work.

My slow internet is why I haven’t re-installed CoD:MW on my new PC.

This is a buggy mess. I still never get any sound. Sound mixer ends up stuck not responding if try to touch it when flight sim is open.

Did the courchevel landing and it locked up the instant I touched the deck. Mangled my mouse input and locked everything up so I had to hard reboot the machine.

Does this drive play ok with HDD, I'm installing it onto an SSHD. Downloading now on Xbox Game Pass.

Not holding much hope for a 2070 max q at 1080p given reports of a 2080Ti crawling to 20fps in cities.

I kind of hope I can just cruise around and the detail is that good I can scope out nice places to visit in the UK or go on holiday :p

The initial load time is a bit of a slog but once into the menus the actual loading of the sim isn't too bad. That said I have just freed up space on my fast games M.2 for it to see how much difference it makes

i love it how on day 1 everyone thinks its going to work perfectly without issues. its as if its the first pc game people have ever played.

I cant remember the last pc game i played on day 1 without many varying problems.

my game hasnt crashed once btw :D
