I hope they sort out this disc spinning in a future update, it seems stupid that the disc in the machine constantly spins even when it's not in use. I'd imagine it wears the drive down faster and it just adds noise for no reason when you're just using Miiverse or something.

Just been playing a bit of Trine 2 with my brother online. I know its been out on other systems for a while but it really is a great game and its currently on launch sale for £10.99 on the E shop.
There should be an update this month for voice chat and I think they hope to add some graphical bits to it + pro controller support.

This + Nano Assault are a great start to the download titles on the E shop, I hope we see a lot more coming over to Wii U.
Dev kits shipping with Unity engine licenses should help grow the E shop rapidly I would imagine. :)

Really enjoying ZombiU - hard though! Played it for just a few hours and hope it continues for quite a long time. Think I am on my 7th survivor already.

Mario is also good, not gripping me just yet though.

Miiverse I am most impressed with so far.

Yeah definitely agree, I think half the time I've spent on the console is not actually playing a game and just browsing through Miiverse :)

Gave it a good test tonight with my mate for multiplaye, good feedback all round although some of the Nintendoland games are fairly duff! ZombiU has some comedy moments and NSMBU had us in fits due to unintentional comedy that occurs with the collision system, so many team manslaughters :( :D

I fully expected the Wii U to be a lot of fun, but it has surpassed my expectations - I love it!

So far been playing NSMBU, Zombi U, Nintendoland, BLOPS2, Tank Tank Tank & Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Having a ball on all of them, great for the kids too.

Feel free to add me in for Miiverse : MuayThaiMatt

Anyone else finding Mario kinda hard or am I just getting old :p

It does get tough!

On the subject of Mario, anyone know if there is any way of turning the Wii U controller screen off when just playing 'standard' 2 player using the Wii remotes?

Chores done, gonna wack on some Zombi U in a minute :D

What would you recommend out of Nano & Trine 2?
Both look interesting.

Im looking to grab something that shows off the visuals of the console....Nano looks like it will do the job, and looks similar to SuperStarDust, so it'll be fun too! lol.

3 player NSMB was one of the favourite gaming experiences. Each level we would start off intending to 'play nice' but once there was one accidental death the gloves came off! In the end I couldn't play it any more due to pains in my side from laugher(childish giggling would probably be more accurate...)...

Google suggests- On a remote: home button>controller settings>Turn off Display (under Wii U Pad category).

Yeah I think the developers at Shin'en have set out to use every effect and shader going on the Wii U and succeeded, it also runs at 60fps I believe.
If your into twin stick shooters like superstardust/Geometry wars etc you cant go wrong picking it up imo. :)
