well i need help

what are oblivion gates, before i stopped playing dor dinner it was like in a rock thing, and said "you've found xxxxx" or something

is that one?

and *** do they do?
 
Oblivion gates are basically portals to a sort of hell dimension. When you find one you'll know it :) They look kind of like the teleport portals in Quake 3 to me. The first one is about 3hrs into the main quest.
 
Aww, I have to go to work now. Can't wait to get back in and continue my quest.

Keep getting owned by a goblin in armour though.
 
I've closed the first Oblivion gate, but now I'm going to lose about 5hrs because I just walked into Imperial city and there is absolutely shedloads to explore!
 
OK I'm a little bit stuck now... I'm trying to get some information from a shopkeeper, but they say they won't tell me any more because they don't trust me. I've persuaded them up to max disposition and they still won't help... One other person said they didn't trust me as well when I asked about buying a house. I'm playing the game as a 'good' character, and only got arrested once for stealing (during a side quest where you had to steal) and paid the fine...
 
I am trying to get too the magic university, done 3 of the magic guilds requests, now goto find somone called J'ster where the hell is he in the house.
 
I'm stuck in a painting!

I am doing a side quest, looking for an artist who went missing from his locked studio. He is trapped inside his own painting because someone painted some trolls on it to keep him in there. When you find him in the painting he gives you some terpentine with with to help kill the trolls. He gives enough for 6 hits yet it takes 4 to take down one troll with a terpentine poisoned sword. There are 3 trolls to kill (that I have seen) and the second one kills me everytime because a normal sword is useless against them. HELP!

I seriously doubt anyone else has done this but here's hoping!

I applied terpentine to the sword and they only took 1 hit each time. Odd. I had the basic sword from the sewers.. warrior class.

In the end I just ran through the lot of em and used invisibility to get back lol! Only got swiped a few times. Just gotta love the different ways to complete quests!
 
im on the "spies" quests but need to get some more lockpicks lol

Im in bruma - any ideas?

doh nvm - got a scroll to do it lol

okay im definately stuck on the main quest. Im still doing the "spies" chain and im stumped as to what ive got to do in jearls house. I also have to find out who was with her in the house but dont know where to start lol

nvm again - found what I needed to find

wont post spoilers though :P

odd - speak to the guard captain fella then try martin again. ps dont try the castle quest until later as im lv 6 and a daedric guard pwned me lol (had to blow a lot of pots to kill it and got a daedric shield ^^)
 
how the **** are we meant to defeat the amount of monsters in the castle. Theres a stupid amount in there :S

adding to this post - DO NOT attempt to try the kvatch castle retake if you are below the level 10 mark. Its literally impossible as you cant hold your own against 10 things at once lol

Frustrating to find out the hard way as well -.-
