I hear you've got a few sexy mods on the server now? Anyone able to catch me up? Does my house still exist?

Your house may not exist if you haven't been on since the mods have been installed. We're playing on a new world however the old world buildings may be copied over at some point. The name of the game has also change from Minecraft to Quarrycraft, as that is what most people seem to be doing

actualy no many people are not useing quarries.
I have used them. all of 3 times each time to make a shaft for me to build in

When i seen quarries for the first time i was like great then the players got their hands on em I am currently writing up new rules regards quarries and a how to manage them better. The new rules + the videos provided should remove all quarry issues. and yes before anyone asked there is a rule about filling in the top layers and removeing frames.

I hope to have everything ready and in place on friday evening.

Server is lagging VERY badly/unplayable atm, only 3 people on as well.

It's down to ostriches I think, there's loads wherever blinkvirus' chunk is and I've tried to get there to kill them but its not playable once you get to the chunk :/

But at the moment the server is fine as boosh left the area they were in so the chunk isn't loaded anymore

On that note, we have a mod installed called Quarantine that I always wanted to get working but never got round to it. I thought it sounded pretty awesome:

Adding some good combat orientated things to do would be good. The more things to do in minecraft the better.

OSTRICHES

Right anyone that has any bloody egs left get rid of them in lava.
NEXT players house i find them i will hit with a PERMA BAN.

ALL players know by know they cause huge amount of lag that is why
they dont spawn in game normaly so anyone that has the eggs if i find them
you will get a temp ban for 3 days. if they get released again it is a perma ban.

Unless there's some unlucky happenings based on default config his house shouldn't be affected...I won't rule it out as a possibility though. If his house somehow is in the zone we will just move the zone rather than his house.

Well I personally did'nt know that they multiplied like that and was gobsmacked to see it when i tp'd over to blinkvirus' house. Is there a way to get rid of them in that chunk?

Just smashed my two with ma sword... didnt have time to make it to lava as I'm at work... sshhhhhhh ¬.¬

We will get some info posts up and updates to the rules that cover ostrich eggs and quarries shortly.

Tbh I'm surprised that there isn't a way to simply remove all the eggs from the server with a command/mod... I think I'll check up to see if it can be done.

Can I just say in the midst of the all teething problems we're having with the new mods the admins are doing a bang up job!!

Especially to Yrth who spent HOURS in a sunday fixing the issues, not to mention all the other work that's gone on.
It's easy for us as basic users to say "server lag, when will it be working" but not so easy to fix it.

So kudos to you all!!!

Anyone else having a problem with crafting bench 3? Sometime when i click to craft an item from there it gives me a blank screen forcing me to reset tekkit launcher.
