*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

Perhaps an ostrich culling event? Exterminate!

I think I have no eggs, never used them, but I will double check when I am home. If I can log in that is ...

Scotty i believe the issues of login are down to mc.net ****ing up
from reading the backlog of news seems something went down.

so should be ok for getting online tonight

A gentle reminder to the few people who have not yet utilized their spawn plots:

Please start making an effort or you will lose your plot.
In order to keep your spawn plot you need to have finished a proper house or evidentially started building one. Building a dirt house or placing a block or two does not count.

It is not fair for other players who did not win a plot to see them empty!

If you are unsure or worried about losing your plot, please contact an admin directly

Still no luck at connecting. Says MC net is down still. The normal minecraft won't let me play either, says can't connect on the login screen.

I've changed nothing.

Maybe, although I tried the normal mc on my laptop and could login with that. Doesn't want to on my pc and I can't think why. As I said, changed nothing and it was working Sunday.

Checked firewall and it allows the launchers. In fact, I turned off the firewall briefly and it would connect. Don't see what's happened. Oh well will mess about with the firewall.

Deleted the tekkit folder, redownloaded, tried to install, now it just stays on the technic launcher logo, doing nothing :(.

I found a post on the yogscast forum suggesting
Delete all three files located inside the .techniclauncher folder.
They are: lastlogin, launcher.properties, and technic-launcher.jar.
I did this and managed to connect first time after the launcher downloaded itself again.

I deleted the whole folder, redownloaded the file on the site. It just sits on the technic launcher logo now, doing nothing. I can use the normal minecraft after playing about with the firewall.

Would it be possible for an admin to help clear up the water in my quarry? When I made the quarry water wasn't known to be an issue, but it was known to be needed if you encountered lava so I didn't see it as a problem when I expanded my quarry that hit the side of a lake. Well a few blocks down and the lake I clipped is now a huge torrent of water.

If you work out where the original base of the lake was then just build out from that and everything underneath will clear.

I did that as the first step of clearing my quarry / water problem last night.

yrthilian helped me sort it out :)

My previous attempt involved try to spam sand and letting it drop through the water until it reaches the surface, and even an attempt at using a bucket (damn you respawning water!).

Once I start my quarry back up again, I'll sort out a proper water setup.

I managed to connect ingame earlier, hurrah. Exited to sort out some texture packs and now the tekkit thing says can't connect to mc net argh. Normal mc works.

Does anyone know how to make a normal minecraft with the mods that will allow us to play on the server? This tekkit is really annoying me.

anyone here actually understands Java? I keep being cicked to desk top, game closes & i end up with a Java error note on my desk top..
I am really getting ****ed off to the point im not going to be playing much longer. I uninstalled java last night & re insatlled both 32 & 64 as before....

Try setting the amount of memory in the client. Since I moved mine to 2GB I have had significantly less crashes.

Any chance an admin can TP to my home please and check out the build? It's caused problems before and it's still really inefficient (there's engines already on and hundreds of stuff just going back and forth in pipes) and there's items on the ground that have obviously been kicked out somewhere.

It's near enough to mine and Scotteh's home that if someone's there, it activates all the machines so they're on most of the time.

Edit: should add, it's not actually my place, just where I've set my home so admins can look. :)

the issue you may be having if useing BC pipes is some chunks are loaded and the pipes will leek. if you use pnumatic pipes this wont happen.

I will take a look when i manage to get online
