Currently the borders are set around 1000blocks in each direction around spawn. Is a 2k block limit to much? Even 1500 would be good?

Other reason I ask is that I have my eyes locked upon this beautiful bit of land and can only look at it from the world border at the minute.

I thought they said the world limit would be a 1000 chunk radius, not 1000 blocks. 1000 blocks seems a little small for the main area of a well populated server

Not quite 1000 but 500 chunks yes.

Its currently a 62/64 chunk radius = 1000ish blocks

1000 chunks = 16000 block radius :eek:

500 chunks = 8000 block radius

Even 500 chunks is very big, don't think there's ever been a map that size. :eek:
 
I think beds are bugged. I got in one and couldn't get back out without closing MC. Now I'm back in /spawn doesnt work - i get "error: destination not set"..
 
Just had creepers blow up and do no damage what so ever to the surrounding area. Is this set intentional or just a setting missed?

edit: Spunky just explained ingame... Only while builds are being moved

i must have got the diameter of 1000 chunks stuck in my head but remembered it as a radius. i was thinking a 1000 chunk radius sounded a bit huge considering you guys have mystcraft as well

As soon as the new server settles down I'll probably get signed up, assuming you don't mind really ugly buildings containing incredibly complicated machinery

Yup, I make it about a 1000 blocks from spawn until I reach the world end.
I'd like to build at the edge of the map if possible so there isn't really a lot of point building anything until the map is extended. I guess you need this time to check for bugs ? :)

If someone has a map I can point at the exact pixels, I don't think I have XYZ numbers though.
It was only a few chests of materials.

I don't suppose it matters much, I was a million years behind everyone else and I still am, I'd just figured out cow breeding on the last map when someone flew overhead with a jetpack on the way to their nuclear reactor :(

Even now I've got a wooden pick and some bread and everyone else appears to have diamond encrusted biodomes... :o

I cannot take a quarry, mining turtle, automatic crafting table etc? Also, I stupidly don't have permission to turn diamond blocks into diamonds, and lapis blocks into lapis

It could possibly be that I made a quarry with one source of water to test out the new rule, since it is now allowed. I could have lagged the server out.
 
I tried a restart but it's not working it has an automatic restart which occurs approx an hour after it stops hopefully.

Give it a half hour and it should come back up sorry.
