I think for everyone reliability is a big thing.
For me losing my build and all my mats on the old vanilla map was a real big blow. (Losing my house on the previous tekkit map didn't help either lol).

Also I don't really see the point of that spawn world. Just have the main world with a portal to the 'mining world' and some actual signage so new people know what that world is for. Seems much easier/simplier, and you don't need to have that 'landing world' loaded/taking up memory.
 
just checked in. there's not much I can do from where I am sorry. I should be able to get to a computer tomorrow to force a proper restart on things.

I'm getting a little tired of these mod issues tbh. vanilla looks more tempting by the day. doubt we will rush into any changes unless things aren't salvageable though.
 
I can fix it as long as I get all the bandwidth available :P The copy process seems to have glitched/jammed the cobble gen to the on state and the levers do nothing.
 
Restarted, yrth asked greg to turn his cobble gen off for a bit, he did, but for some reason it didn't stop, and the lag started, then crashed.
