*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

This is now done.
your request was nothed when you asked the first time
a bit of pacience is required as we also have many higher level
things to be fixing compaired to a re render of the map.

It was already in the que to be redone for you.

Thanks, however no one said anything so I assumed it was just ignored.

If your normal MC is screwed then it's probably worth ignoring any issues you get with the LinkTart launcher and just trying to fix normal MC.

Are you running 64bit win7? If so, 64bit java? Java 7 or 6? Etc. Changing graphics drivers is also worth a try.

32 bit Win7 with the latest Java it would download. It is on bootcamp on my iMac so there may be a driver issue but I was hoping this would work as the OSx install does even less :(

There's no reason it shouldn't work. I presume other 3D games work okay?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "the latest Java it would download". There are specific versions on the Java website for both Java 6 and Java 7. Clearly you'll have the 32bit version but it may be worth trying to uninstall Java and then reinstall 7 or 6 (latest version of either) and trying again.

I just went to the Java site and clicked on the "Free Java download" button on the front page which then took me to v7 update 9. I didn't realize I had to pick a specific version...

You don't *have* to pick a specific version but when you're trying to work out issues then it's useful to know that there are specific versions available.

You could try out Java 6 for instance:

What happens with other games?

Have all the build moves been done yet? there's not been much complaining about issues so as soon as the build moves are done I'll sign up and find myself some space

Wow that was quick. I was expecting to wait until after i got up in the morning to get the questions

They've been answered but it'll probably be Sunday evening before i get on the server.

How do I go about acquiring some land? Do I just wander off into the wilderness and look for somewhere that hasn't been taken and stake my claim? there's a nice bit of plains around the 500, -200 mark that I've got my eye on. I wouldn't need much of it but i figured somewhere flat, open and not a desert or snow biome was great, and the trees would make nice natural barriers to block off my 9x9s from other peoples views

*edit*
stalker mode activated

i can see you're eyeing up that bit of land for something as well. if you want to build there then i'm cool with looking elsewhere, my needs are pretty simple :)

Should be able to do. It's all Java isn't it?

Quick question to the mods: I have finished my tavern/inn/pub in singleplayer and was wondering if you could import it into spawn on the server? I also have a couple of building in singleplayer that are nice. Cheers :D

Nope that is some free land at that point and if you do build there if you drop to level 20 you wont be far off the underground rail system.

Oh and you have been whitelisted :)

What? why would they do that?

The whole point of multiplayer is that you build on the server with resources collected on the server, otherwise they might as well dish out creative mode at logon.
