thanks. i'll probably pop on later tonight when i get back to uni (home laptop cant run minecraft)

The only thing i'd want to put down that low would be a nuclear reactor but with geothermal generators being so efficient i'll probably go with them.

if the rail system goes near my house i'll see if i can make a connection to my house when i get the resources

The whole point of multiplayer is that you build on the server with resources collected on the server, otherwise they might as well dish out creative mode at logon.

I tend to agree. We normally wouldn't import anything from anyone's single player game.

Tekkit is gone. We still have some mods but they are built into our own custom client that you can download on the LinkTart site. You don't have to mess around with the Tekkit Launcher any more - it works pretty much the same as regular Minecraft in terms of sign in/etc.

Ah that's a shame :( Really love playing with IC and BC :p

Will have to check it out soon :) Nice to see the Dynmap back up and running :)
 
as far as i know IC2, BC3 (possibly just BC2), RP2 and forestry are in there still.

speaking of quarries, whats the rules about using redpower frames and block breakers to make quarries? i imagine turtles are ok because they wont make horrific lag but if i end up recreating my omnidirectional redpower quarry it will lag the server for sure (hell, it brings my SSP world to a standstill for about 5 seconds when it moves)

also, to the person wanting to import their tavern from SSP, could you make a BC template of it and use that template to get it made in SMP with a builder?

I built a frame quarry on the test server but it was a single direction lever operated inchworm. unfortunately we dont have WRCBE(it causes a huge load on the server) enabled so its a bit difficult atm.

ah, considering I used about 40 wireless channels on my omnidirectional digger I might just give this project a miss
 
This months PC gamer has a massive spread on Minecraft. A nice read.

However I'm not sure I believe that it sells 43,000 copies everyday. That's impossible surely, considering its been out for 3 years and only has 7 million copies bought, according to their website.
 
possibly a dumb question, but do any of the minecraft plants need a direct path to sunlight to grow naturally, or do they just need a certain amount of light?

i was wondering if stacking farms underground would be a good idea or not

Hi greg. After speaking with the admins we have come to the desision that this
can not be done.
1. it is sort of cheating.
2. It is unfair to others
3. If we did this for you we would have to do it for others.

you'd have thought that they would do something to make their servers more reliable because from what i've seen this isnt a rare thing

any idea when they'll be back up?
