Hm, I might try a few other things first before you delete my player .dat :D

I've got 2 diamond chests, enderchest and quarry on me. Lappack and diamond drill too, plus some other items. Rather not lose them just yet :D

Try logging in and really quickly doing /spawn.

I'm not going to be checking this thread that often so I can't promise that your player.dat will get deleted particularly quickly if you come back later asking for it. Just a warning :)
 
Although on linux it still seems to crash upon entry into the mystcraft mining age, how strange. Oh well, not a big deal :)
 
If it is going vanilla, then does that mean that you'd be able to join without mods onto the server, or would it just be an off branch/new world of the main server and you'd still require mods to enter the server?
 
Vanilla Server Update

Just a quick update on the Vanilla server. Development versions of bukkit 1.4 hit over the weekend so I've been doing some testing on them which has been going well! We still need to wait for a lot of the bugs to be removed first as their is some pretty odd ones still floating about which the bukkit team are working on.

There are also a few plugins we need to wait for before we can make the server live. Still no time estimate as it still relies heavily on how fast the bukkit guys can squash the bugs and how well player testing goes. I doubt we will open the test server to everyone just yet but I may need to recruit a few guinea pigs for some experimentation.
 
I'll volunteer for that... I've not been able to get onto the regular server for some time now so it would be nice to get back online.

I presume all we will need is the bog standard, up to date version of MC... no bells or whistles of any kind?
 
5punk, is there anywhere else to get glowstone? the nether seems to be limited to 200x200 and all glowstone has gone already from what i can see

ps. NEI crashes if you click on mycellium
 
If players have no builds in the nether i am happy to regen it.
other wise i think we may have a diffrent solution for you guys
will talk with 5punk and see what we can do.

We may create a new mining world for this.

oh and sorry for my lack of replies
wife is in hospital my day have jumped from 12 hours to 18 hour days
while we are waiting for the baby to decided to grace us with her presence
may take anoter 2 weeks before that though.

so again sorry for delay in replies and getting things sorted.

oh regard CC1.3 I tried 1.4.1 and it killed the server
So afraid we are stuck with 1.3 unill i can take a proper look

dont worry about CC too much. its one of those things that will forever be on my list of things to do that i will almost certainly not get round to doing

i know 5punk has a lava pump complete with nether portal.tank cart transport system in the nether, but other than that i havent seen much. thanks to a kind donation of lots of UU generated glowstone i wont need any for months.

with regards to the glowstone shortage for those who dont use UU, maybe you could give the next mining age glowstone crystals in it. (i know there's an option for this somewhere but i forget what its called)

last but certainly not least, congrats on the soon to pop out little one :)
 
Posted a couple of times on Linktart but heard nothing... still having issues. Only powering 1 Blulectric Furnace and 2 Sorting Machines. Before being hooked up to the machines the solar panels charge the Battery Boxes fine, as soon as I hook them up this happens and no more Blutricity is generated (machines also do not power up):

Really frustrating as I can't really run quarries without Blutricity as my sorters don't function.
 
Having some problems with valve pipes and computer monitors.

When I place a valve pipe it looks like a monitor and you cant see if its working or not. If I try to build Monitors they crash my client. It seems there is a problem between both computercraft and additionalbuildcraft ID's or something. Re-installing the Linktart client doesn't help so the bug should be there for all.

I have had a play around with the config files but i don't know what I'm doing really and it hasn't fixed it. Anyone know how or mind pointing me to where I can learn to do so?? Many thanks :)
 
UPDATE

We are going to make a new mining world on sunday at 9PM
ALL players are request to remove anything you want to keep in the
current mining world before this happens. When the world is deleted
anything left in there will also bedeleted and will not be returned.

re blutricity. we are looking into this and may have found the issue but will keep testing.

@dirty will look into this now and will report back. later tomorrow if all goes well.
