Just letting the community know that i will be semi away
for the next week. My wife gave birth to out little daughter
on November 4th @ 10:51am.

been awake for over 48 hours at the moment just trying to
wind down before going to bed. But just wanted to let the community
know why i am away or if i have not replied to any messages.

Congratulations!

On another note, any news on when the mining world is going to be reset as I don't want to set up a quarry now and then lose it all?

EDIT: Also, what are the rules re. cobblegen/blockbreaker set-ups? I'd like to have my recycler running but could not find any info regarding the rulings on this.

If anyone wants a challenge, take a look at the setup on the green outside my house and the railway station to the north of the spawn. See if you can figure out how to get a mine cart to leave the elevator track and go back onto the normal track at the top. I've got something similar in single player creative mode working, and i dont understand why this doesnt!

railcraft isnt really my forte but i'll take a look

hmm, minecraft just crashed when I clocked on sand in NEI

(I was checking to see if you could get it through macerating cobble since the mining world isnt a desert any more)

Mining world is back - entrance is in the old mining world portal

couple of things guys -

Spread out your quarries and use a linking book to your quarry area you now have crystal at your disposal - feel free to use railcarts to transport matts back to your house

please dont all quarry together with chunkloaders on top of each other if I find another big loader loading quarries that don't belong to you I will be removing them along with the quarry

Due to the mining world reset I have lost the following:

1 HV Solar
1 MFSU
1 Quarry
1 Energy Link
1 Ender Chest
1 Glass Fibre Cable
3 Cobblestone Transport Pipes

I don't think its unreasonable to ask for my items to be spawned back, 5punk? The reset was planned to take place at 9pm on the 4th and actually took place at midnight on the 6th with no word of a delay.

Resource wise, I have lost too much to deal with.
 
is anyone else getting graphical problems with the monitors or is it just me? its almost as though there is Z-fighting going on between the black background of the monitor and the text displayed on it

also, if anyone knows how to get the text central on the monitors i'd be very interested in hearing how (other than setting the cursor position, because 2,1 is too far left and 3,1 is too far right)

Don't really know how to do it but I am following the steps and I have put in a whitelist request so hopefully I will be on the OcUK Linktart server soon :) Sounds like it's good.

I solved the elevator tracks problem, turns out they don't work like that on bucket servers for some reason. However they will still push carts off onto tracks opposite them if you have an unpowered elevator track level with it.

See the tutorial vids as that probably doesnt make much sense otherwise!

Yes, you can get sand by macerating cobble, but I agree it did use to work out quicker mining it unless you had several macerators on the go. Have you had a look around the new mining world to see if there is a desert biome somewhere on there?

I don't mean to sound harsh, but surely one of the mods just becoming a Dad was a hint that it might be delayed?

If it was set for an earlier date surely you would have already taken the appropraite actions and a delay shouldn't have affected things?

Eitherway, I'm positive one of the lovely admins will take a look into it and let you know what or if anything can be done for you. Just give them a chance to get to it :)

Edit: On a side note, when the vanilla server is back I think I'll look to coming back too .. yay for wool gathering & comm builds! ;)

Yep, I've been hard at work with the other admins and a few players setting up and configuring plugins. There is probably a fair few bugs about and maybe some permission issues as the version of Bukkit isn't final and I've probably missed some permissions for some odd players commands.

This is where I need you guys to break it as much as possible so we can have a smoothish launch come the end of the week depending on any bugs, Minecraft updates and Bukkit updates.

So hop on the server tonight around 6-7pm and do some damage! I'll post in the thread once it is actually live :) Any questions feel free to post them and I'll try to answer them the best I can. There will be more details about the server soon depending on how testing goes so we can finalise the plugins/commands!

Looks like you are just in time to catch the Vanilla train Zumii :D The actually launch is dependent on how testing goes but I would personally like it to be up Friday/Saturday but we shall see.
