now that its chunkloaded the wool farm is spitting out the goodies.

does it matter if i have more than one chunk loader loading a chunk? i'm using about 5 now since its far more efficient that way but one of the chunks is being loaded by two chunk loaders

no they should be fine as they turn off when you are not online and there is a limit to how many chunks you can load anyway.
 
ahh thats a shame, was kinda hoping the chunkloaders would work 24/7. this does explain why my peat farm and wheat farm havent exactly produced much when i've left them on overnight

perhaps my next project will be to make a hidey hole where i can go AFK safely all night :p

Come on ToString you know me :p There would be a grand launch with a blog post for when it actually goes live. At the moment it is still a test server as there is a new Minecraft client due out I believe and there is still a lot of niggles many which you pointed out last night. I've been working in another office all day so I haven't been able to catch up but I'll have another gander around the server tonight and hopefully everything goes smoothly for a weekend launch :)

Maaaannnnn It's been soooooo lonnng. It's feels like it'd be a chore getting back into Minecraft because I presume over the past 8+ months it's changed drastically I don't even know where to start!

vanilla has barely changed but if its the modded server you're after then quite a lot has changed. the big mechanics probably havent but i'm sure there's been a lot of big stuff added
 
Been having a play around on the vanilla test server tonight, no major bugs so far apart from some lag me and sunlitsix experienced around half 12, but seemed fine after a few minutes.
 
Yeah it occured again around about 40 mins ago (Maybe longer I've lost track of time), insanely bored also so I expanded the carrot farm....

Hmm, I'll check the logs about the lag. There may of been some earlier in the night as I was doing some heavy downloading from the server but that would have been around 10-11pm.

It also looks like the Minecraft client update to 1.4.3 may of been delayed a little as they are working on more pre-releases due out today/next week I think. Either way I don't think it will effect us too much and I'm still hoping the server to go live this weekend.

Thanks to everyone who has been testing it has been a great help! I'm not the best with all this plugin stuff but I'm getting my head around it and the bug reporting helps :D

Depending on how busy I am and discussions with the other admins I may have an announcement about the server launch later this evening.

Still get framerate issues too, getting 300+ yet it feels like it's playing at 5 occasionally...

I've not noticed any framerate issues myself, have you tried playing single player to see if you still get it there?

I've checked the logs and I think it was the world backup kicking in about 2/3am that caused your lag spike and the earlier one may of been myself messing with the server or some of the log entries being cleared. I'll keep my eye on it though to make sure the lag doesn't get too bad.

To keep everyone interested while they wait for the server to launch here are the all new and improved donation rewards! There isn't any massive changes really, a few additions as well as a refresh of the chests.

The biggest change is Donator of the Month, it is now no longer who ever donates the most wins but more of a raffle. So every £5 you donate over the course of a month gives you once chance of winning the awesome prizes :D
