ok finished it but it won't work on the server, tried in creative and it's fine so guess it's because the server gives it too much lag.
going to look into other options but thank you everyone who helped!

Vessailus, you might not get as much stuff as you were expecting from your quarry, since you put it right above where my turtle had been mining. Your current quarry will miss everything important of mine, but if you could make sure your next one misses my frame quarry that would be great :)
 
guys, if you ever see a tower guardian, be very careful. i made the mistake of trying to attack one with a sword after discovering that the feeble spells i'd brought with me were doing more damage to the environment than they were to it. it turns out that swords do no damage at all to it

since it does magic damage you will die very quickly unless you have some of the ars magica armor. i had the archmage chestplate and leggings which reduced each hit from 4 hearts to two. i think i hit it three times with the sword before i died :(

luckily the only tower guardian tower i've found is well off the beaten track in the mining world
 
Looking for some advice, I have a cobblefarm supplying a recycler then into a mass fabricator, even with a slow arse redstone pump the flow will eventually over run the mass fabricator, are there a set of pipes I can use that'll stop overflow?
 
Restriction tubes (though these are usually used to make a chest the furthest destination for items rather than control a flow of item) and Relays, maybe a chest used as a buffer too

you could also overclock and/or add more recyclers

it's the mass fab overflowing with scrap from the recycler, so recyling isnt an issue, its the flow of pipes from the recycler to the mass fab
 
Same principal mate.

Relay connected to your chest of scrap and a pneumatic tube to your mass fab (make sure to connect it to the bottom of the mass fab) If there is no where for the items to go they wont be released or will be bounced back.


recyclers>chest of scrap>relay>mass fab
 
Hello guys the Mod+ server has been updated - one thing there seems to have been a blockid change on some forestry and railcraft items if you are missing anything just let me know - client is in the dropbox via the link you were pm'd
 
dont go wandering off too far in the mystcraft world for quarries because your game will crash. 5punky told me this a while ago and like an idiot i used my mystcraft book to get to my old quarry site and insta crashed (although it might be the issue i was having before

Also, with the modded enchanting mechanics there will be no way of getting the new thaumcraft enchants. depending on if the wands can even be enchanted any more (my ars magica armor couldnt be enchanted when its supposed to be highly enchantable) would any mods that happen to be online be happy to apply the enchants through NEI if we give them the equipment with the slot enchants, or the equipment without it and something else with enchants on it.

also, before i break the server, does the new arcane bore work on frames?
(i could always turn it off while moving)

You could use structure pipes and gates to detect whether the Mass Fab's inventory is full to then output a redstone signal to turn on the Cobble Gen.

Ah - well if your bored there you could always pop onto LT :) As for a simple pipe network this is what I have set up

Real easy set up, timer is on 1min currently. But obviously you can change this depending how much power you have going into the matter fab. Any scrap that doesnt go into the fab bounces back through the "overflow tube" and into the top of the barrell. This has been running for days now and its never run out of scrap or lots of bounceback in the tubes.

OK I did random stuff that I will never remember ever again and something worked.
Bashing the keyboard and throwing the mouse at the speakers helps as it didn't work before I did this.
Gawd, too frustrated to play.

Issue fixed but you will have to grab a client again, sorry about that the API in Thaumcraft had changed causing logistics pipes to throw crashes.

Fran - is the issue getting new instances to run or is it a crash in game?

If it's the client update then I think the easiest way is to make a video on how to update - anyone able to do this?

PS. This is the last update again for 2 weeks (unless there is a server crash again)

The new instances bit, normally I write down what I've down but this time I didn't actually know. Wording for instructions have to match what's on the screen, otherwise I have a blank expression :o
